"Oh no! Blood!"

Well I have one 470 millilitres less than usual tonight and I have to say that I don't miss it! Plus I have an enormous sense of well being as a result of doing something good (and the guilt I used to feel for not having done it has also now subsided).
Was actually quite an enjoyable experience - I have never received so much attention from so many different people before! They asked me lots of questions. The lady seemed a little concerned when I told her about all the headaches I get. I felt it best not to tell her that they sometimes make me vomit. She didn't look like she could handle that. I got the giggles every time they asked me if this was my "first time" (hee hee!). Lots of questions about sex too which she might as well have just skipped over. Both the iron test and the giving of blood were relatively pain free. They called me "unusual" for staring at the needle hanging out of my arm and asking so many questions about it. I liked the way they put the bag of blood on a little rocking chair too!
This really is a mass jumble of individual statements. Given the time of night that is no great deal. I may as well continue in this style before closing.
There was free food. I had one packet of salt and vinegar crisps, 3 shortcake biscuits, 3 custard creams and 3 cups of orange squash.
I will definitely be going again.
