Back To The City (An Apology)

I got the hell outta Dodge and it was bloody fantastic! A big thank you to _reset_ (how do you do those link things?) and his housemates for hosting the greatest party of all time. It was such a release. Just what I needed. Sadly I spent more time with my head over a bucket than I intended but even that had its merits. I'm not about to start inducing vomitting on purpose (I like my teeth too much to coat them with stomach acid every five minutes) but I always feel better after a clearout. Surprisingly therapeutic. Why am I talking about being sick? Well, I need to introduce the subject so that I can make a massive apology to rainkingmarsden (again, I would put a link here if I knew how) and the other persons I shared a crash space with. I am SO sorry you had to hear that awful noise. Good first impression, Katie. I now have a bruised forehead from contact with the toilet bowl and at one point I was found curled up asleep, wearing my Hermione pyjamas, in the 3 foot square hallway outside _reset_'s room, having been locked out. Those will be good memories.
I know I was drunk but I was so sociable I surprised myself. Granted, I didn't spend more than 5 minutes with each person I spoke to but usually I find the whole small talk issue ++difficult. Met some lovely girlies and also indigolightbeam (also good place for a link). I believe we had a brief chat about the wonder of tea. I also had a great boogie too, albeit it more falling than dancing.
Weather was bloody gorgeous and it was nice to go back to the city and the house. Quite sad now that I'll likely never set foot in the house again. As a space I really loved it. So much simpler than my room at home with 22 years worth of life shoe horned into (and spilling out of) it.
Thanks again _reset_ for just letting me chill at yours today while the sobering up took place. Was really nice to hang and it completed the task of putting last week behind me. Don't want to go back to work on Tuesday but at least I've had a great start to my weekend and can enjoy the next TWO days of it instead of wasting them being stressed.
Thanks all of you guys. Was lovely to see you.
