Every time Allysin walked by and looked into at him, through glass walls even, Danny felt a shiver course along his spine at the touch of her eyes.
He couldn’t help but smile back at her, knowing full well he looked like some gawky teenager, but he also knew to her it didn’t matter. She was only 17 AND Mac’s daughter, he’d never be able to tell her how her gaze melted his resolve…. How her gaze drove his heart into the nth degree…How her eyes sparkled like sunshine on a spring day.
“Danny?”
He blinked and looked at the doorway hearing Mac’s voice.
“We need the findings on that evidence. Sometime today would be preferable.” And he left.
Danny sighed and went back to work.
