Vegas/California Vacation

Jul 27, 2005 18:36

Last week was wild.

Thanks to the hospitality of jeepskank, Matt and I got to explore California and Vegas.....and now I can finally say I've been to the west coast. It's a weird thing to hear a radio announcer talk about the weather...and say "Yeah, it's going to be tropical today, cloudy and humid.....real tropical.....there might even be some RAAIIN?!" I get back to PA and so far it's been hazy/hot/rainy/hazy. I'm definitely moving to a city with better weather conditions after graduation.

In leu of a long lj story, I put some wordy captions on the pictures...I think I'll pass that off as the recounting of events.

Click here to see a Frozen Banana, a bitchy lifeguard, and more.

The one highlight I want to point out separately....is that my life dream No. 42 has been completed. It required waking up at 4 AM, but...

I finally got to see the Price is Right.

The set is a lot smaller than you would think, the camera does a good job of making it seem huge. A long-haired guy on stage had the single job of getting the audience riled up...standing ovations/ooh and aaaah were required almost every 10 seconds. My hands were sore at the end from a nonstop hour of clapping....but it will likely be the highlight of my year.

In closing...the skook in me wants to mention to everyone that, in fact, gas is dear down california.
