well gee: volume two
I totally got a job today. A real one, full time and benefits and tons of major responsibility.
It's my boss' job over at the library. She's retiring in about a month, so I (along with six other library workers) applied for her job. Everyone else was at least 15 years older than me and act a little more professional, but I ended up getting the job. They told me today. I was shocked because I thought I bombed that second interview. Guess I didn't.
It's crazy for me to think that I'm going to be people's boss. I hope I can do as well as Ms. Nancy has done for us because she is an awesome woman.
Things have been going so great for me. That communications award, school being (just about) over, graduation, spending time with my awesome friends, my relationship with Shawn and now this job. I'm extrememly lucky and thankful for all of this cool stuff. But because I can be a pessimistic person sometimes, the back of my mind keeps wondering if something bad is about to happen.
I really try not to think about that, though because I am very happy right now.
Oh, and a big job well done to my little brother, who got a $500 scholarship tonight. We rock.
