(no subject)
Okay where to begin?
I was going to have another intellectual post but then extra stuff happened and now I'm at a loss.
My car was parked at my house, and some woman came flying around the bend slamming into the car and ran off...I was in my house and heard a loud boom. No brake sounds so I didn't really think much of it, but I decided to go outside and check it out just to make sure. My tuck = dead. Her bumper, front right panel, and other parts were left at the scene. The police came and wrote me a repot but we all agreed they probably would not catch her. I don't have collision coverage, because I never expected a hit and run situation.
Four hours later.
She comes back to the scene and I guess called the cops and told them because they called me to tell me to meet her and the officer outside. I asked the officer not to give her leaving the scene of an accident ticket because I didn't feel that she should be punished for doing the right thing, even though she should have done it in the first place. He gave her the other tickets and I've spoken to her insurance company. They will write me a check after the adjuster looks at the car which will be ~3 days. That really sucks for me but yeah...
My fear is they will call it totaled, but that means I won’t get too big of a check. But I guess I'll see what happens in the next few days.
