The Beach

Yesterday I went to Babe's birthday party at her uncle's camp in Caroga Lake. It was awesome, tubing and holding on for dear life. Even flying off into the unknown was awesome. Nany, you Puerto Rican daredevil--it's in the blood. That girl thinks she's bad on those tubes, steering into people, knocking people off forcefully, trying to stand up on the silly thing... Whew, really makes you soar the next day!!

Marc, Shane, Nany, and I took the canoe out for a nice little stroll... stroll? Well, whatever you call it, I really wanted to go exploring through the maze of streams and seaweed. It's the adventurous side of me, I guess. I even overcame my fears of spiders in the canoe to go for that... sail? But Marc was terrified of the unknown... "Guys, we could row into a dead body or something!!" "Meggy, no, not in the swamps! There's alligators!!" However, he did manage to overcome is fear of tubing and even just being in a small boat. Although that time when Nany and I had to change positions in the middle of the canoe while sitting in the lake was pretty funny. He's screaming, rocking the boat, I'm slithering under Nany's spread legs limbo style, practically bending my head into her crotch to get to the other side, and she's sliding over me, pushing my head through and giggling, as Shane's eyes are rolling back into his head with sick pleasure. But we did eventually make it, and then Marc got this funny idea into his head that the canoe had a hole in it and we were sinking. Okay, so a lot of water made it's way into the boat, I dunno how so don't ask, but we definitely weren't in any danger of drowning in the 12 inch deep stream.

Driving back I followed someone whom I thought was part of Babe's group, but it turns out it wasn't, and I ended up in Johnstown. Thank God Marc knew where to go from there to get to his house, or I'd be in like Pennsylvania or something right now, wondering where on earth all these Amish people are coming from.

I've been reading Harry Potter. It's not the book that like totally stole my heart away, but it is a very interesting story so far and I think it's just amazing how one person could develop this whole new take on the world. Really really great stuff. And I'm finding that the characters are not much different than me, even if I am a mere Muggle lol.

Thanks to all my guests who came swimming tonight for entertaining me... and eating all the marshmallows up.
