Hmmm, your thoughts?

Hey all!

We're halfway into the Dawn round right now (stories are due a week from today) and I found myself thinking about how quiet this community gets during this two week writing period. That's certainly fine, but I thought I'd check in and see if anyone has any thoughts about this.

I'm not going to post any kind of official poll, but what do you guys think? Do we need some kind of content during this time, or is it best to leave it as is? Just doing a quick brainstorm by myself, I came up with the following ideas:
  • Reminders about the challenge just so we don't all forget that it's going on (not sure how often)
  • I could post featuring a link to an older BSC femslash story either from this comm or bsclove (or other places) that newer members might not have seen (either mod's choice or you guys could nominate stories)
  • Slashy canon quotes (from me or contributed by members)
  • Free-for-all posts where I'd post a topic relating to canon and slashiness and everyone could discuss (eg: crazy pairings and how they could work, why the common pairings work so well, which pairings just don't work, what makes a great fic prompt, etc)
  • Posts where people can request beta readers and/or offer to beta (this might just be a one-time thing, or it could be done for every challenge)
  • Nothing at all--just keep it simple and leave this time for story-posting only

I would LOVE to hear everyone's ideas for stuff to post during this time and/or opinions on whether or not there even should be content posted her other than the challenge itself. You don't have to be a member to reply to this; everyone is welcome to answer. Comments are screened, so please reply with your thoughts, ideas, and opinions!
