Oh my goodness Caity. I don't even know what to say! This is WONDERFUL. I was hoping someone would write a fic like this and I'm SO glad this is being dealt with by a writer as talented as you! It's just stunning. I think this is your best fic yet! So painfully realistic - it feels so honest and true to the characters and it's made me feel so sad! Ahh I can't wait to see where you go from here! ♥

Ahh thank you, Dayna! It's certainly the fic that's taken me the most to write. I haven't even embarked on chapter 2 yet because I'm being so thorough and also it's definitely a bit heartbreaking to write, ha.

With this first chapter, you've done a fabulous job of painting the happiness, the rightness of them, but also in showing Leslie's struggle and decision, in pitting what she's always wanted against what she has that could just be so much for her.

The break-up was genuine and heartbreaking, and Ben showed a level of understanding that only someone who knows Leslie could demonstrate.

Looking forward to the journey you're taking us on, and hoping that Leslie will find a way to make everything fit, or that she'll reconsider her priorities.

Thank you so much. I really wanted them to have something together before they break, you know? Because they've only had two weeks at the end of season 3 and I'd like to think they don't break up right away.
