Holiday Season PLEASE READ ALL OF IT

The Holiday Season has basically almost officially begun. I'm down in Florida right now visiting my Nana and today I saw Christmas with the Krinch's or the Krinch's Christmas or whatever its called. Anyway, so I saw that movie today and it really made me in the holiday spirit and I have decided some things..

Every year for Christmas I am very fortune to get a ton of presents. Every year I get a ton of presents, more presents then most kids ever get in their whole 18 years at home (Not people around here, but the world outside of Lake Oswego and places like that), I get in one Christmas. I am very lucky to have extremely large Christmas's and I guess I never really realized how lucky I was until this year.

Hundreds of thousands of children are left this holiday season without gifts, parents, food and so much more. So many people are left without a Christmas meal, gifts, family and so much more. So this year I have decided that I am going to help out. I have helped out in the past, but this year it is going to be completely different..

Everyday or at least four times a week I am going to do something like going downtown and serving a holiday meal to the homeless, doing those giving tree's and purchasing gifts for children who do not come from a family with enough money to afford to buy their children gifts, I am going to try and volunteer at the hospital and do something there. Every year my Grandpa delivers fruit baskets to the homeless that are filled with food and gifts, and I think I am going to go with him when he does that. Basically I am going to find out about as many ways to get involved as I possibly can and am going to get involved this holiday season. I want to help others this holiday season rather then sitting on my ass and sneaking into my Mom's closest to find out what presents I am getting.

I am going to spend time with my family. Every year since my Grandma that lived in Portland died, the holiday season has been very hard for my Grandpa because my Grandma loved Christmas. You have no idea how much she loved Christmas. So the past two Christmas's without her have been so hard on my Grandpa. This Christmas though I am going to go over to his house and we are going to decorate the house from head to toe just like the way my Grandma did it. We are going to bake cookies using my Grandma's old recipes and just I know it will make my Grandpa's holiday season and I love him so much and I would love to see him with a big smile on his face this season just like he used to have when my Grandma was alive. I am going to help my Dad put up the lights rather then sitting there watching him like fall off the ladder and telling him they are not straight. I want to spend time with my family this year too because I love them all and they are the reason why my Christmas's have been so amazing.

So I have already talked to some people, so if you would like to join with me and do something this season. Then please let me know and we can find something to do, after all this is the season of giving!

Anyway, I'll be home late Friday night!

<3 Stephanie

Happy Early Thanksgiving!
