So yesterday, I was able to watch the trailer of the new movie Confessions of a Shopaholic which is based on the popular book series by Sophie Kinsella. I myself am a fan of the series so I am very excited that it's going to be made into a movie. Isla Fischer (sp?) plays the role of damsel-in-debts(ha ha) Rebecca Bloomwood, and Hugh Dancy (he's a Brit actor, you've probably seen him in a few movies. Familiar face, I might add) is playing the role of Luke Brandon, Bloomwood's soon to be bf. I learned that this movie is actually based on the first two books (Confessions of A Shopaholic && Shopaholic Takes Manhattan).
Enough technicality, I realized that they've made a couple of changes which would probably annoy other readers but is totally fine by me. In the movie, it is set in Manhattan, NY, well in fact, it's actually in Fullham, London. Becca's supposed to be Brit and Luke's supposed to be American, somehow, they switched it both. They've kind of switched the storyline a bit, but it's been a good while since I last read Confessions of A Shopaholic, so I kind of forgot how it goes. Nonetheless, I'm stoked for this movie, but not as stoked as I was for Twilight!
If you haven't read the book or the series, I highly suggest you should! It's a teen-lit-chic thing so if you're EMOtional and all, don't bother. Ha ha. I kid, I kid. ;) I remember the first book I bought from the series was the 4th one (Shopaholic & Sister). Then you know how they always list the other titles by the author?? Well, I decided to buy the whole series. It was only 4 at that time, so all I had to buy was the other 3. They were good and I really loved it. :) Recently, a new one came out, which I've already bought and read (Shopaholic & Baby). I loved it too! =) That is why Sophie Kinsella is one of my favorite authors. I'm a huge fan of books from the Teen-Lit genre.
As you can see, I've read all her books except for the last one which I am intending to get after I am done with The Time Traveler's wife. :)
Another thing, I WANT A NEW CELLPHONE and I just found the perfect phone!!! Checked the reviews and all! =) It's the
Nokia E71. It's pretty pricey for me, it's around 21k ++, there's another one which is like the baby brother of it, the
Nokia E63, it's half the price for half the specs(specifications). It's around 11k. Cheap huh?? I was thinking I'm most likely going to get the E63. It's out daw mid-December here in the Phil. Here's pictures. I've always wanted a Moto Q/Blackberry type of phone with that wide and QWERTY keyboard. I adore it so much!!
