He is not the typical type of person who hates seeing people all lovey-dovey and in love. There's a valid reason for his behavior and until now he can't seem to move on because of this. His friends started to get worried because he seems to be lifeless and not himself at all. Choi Siwon. How could someone like Hyukjae forget about him? He became his life and his world revolved around him. How can a simple cough turned into a life-threatening disease in a snap? He thought that they will stay on each other's side no matter what. But death is a traitor and it happens to everyone but in this case Siwon face it first. Siwon his best friend. He's in love with him since God knows when.. Siwon confessed to him on his last breathe and he just cried while uttering the words "I should have told you how I feel.. Don't leave not now.." There's no response from the man that he was holding to. Just coldness, plain coldness. He never draw after what happened. He lost his sense of expressing art since he died.
He is now living with his little sister and two friends. Hyukjae's parents left to work abroad to support their son and daughter. Since then Sora became Hyukjae's responsibility and he will do everything just to make her happy. Sora is still young and doesn't ask questions about Siwon and the reason why he never draw again. But Sungmin and Kyuhyun belong to the side who bombards him questions and pushes him to draw again.
Sungmin was an art major while Kyuhyun was a music major during their college days they are now living together with the Lee siblings. They became a couple during their college years and decided to live together one year after graduation. Sungmin is now working on a famous architectural firm in Seoul while Kyuhyun is a music teacher on Seoul University.
It all started on his annoyance to the KyuMin couple. One typical morning proved to Hyukjae that it takes only one moment to see how amazing love can be.
"Aish! I can't take it anymore!!"
"Kyu~~~ faster! faster!"
"Oh my God! Not again!" Hyukjae said while glaring at the door of his friends' shared room.
"Min, come one! Stop shouting they might hear us!"
"I don't care! Come one! Faster!"
Hyukjae wanted to go upstairs and shut them up but he never did. He's too innocent to witness such activities of his two friends. He grabbed his old sketchbook for distraction, though he's not sketching anymore he always keep it for times like this. He will dare to shut them up if his sister is there but she's on school so he can stand it. But you never know because he suddenly heard his sister knocking and shouting "Oppa!!! I'm home!!", Hyukjae got startled and instantly answered afraid that his sister might hear the couple upstairs.
"Sora! Let's go I'll take you the park."
"Eh? Oppa? I'm tired!" Sora pouted.
"Come on let's spend time together. Look! Nice weather~"
"I think Sungmin oppa and Kyuhyun oppa are playing games again."
"You are too young for that, kid. Let's go.." Unknown to Hyukjae he brought something that he never dare to in the past years.

Hyukjae can't hide his gummy smile because of his sulking sister. It's been a long time since he went out with her. Hyukjae works on a company as an art consultant while Sora is busy being a kid on her own world. Though their parents are giving enough money for them, Hyukjae insisted working 'til late hours so he can distract himself. He never draw in his work even though his boss offered him a huge amount of salary. Money can never make him draw again. He lost his sense when Siwon died. Hyukjae focus his attention to Sora who squealed when she saw the playground. Sora, the only person who can put a huge smile on his face since Siwon died. Unknown to him someone is just right around the corner to make him smile. Not now but maybe in the future.
Hyukjae frowned when he noticed what he brought with him. His old sketchbook. Siwon bought it for him as a gift for his birthday years ago. Siwon. He shook his head as if it could help him to distract himself with the sudden rush of memories. He made a promise to Siwon when he visited him once on his grave the he will try to live life to the fullest. Though technically Siwon is his life. He sighed. No. Everyone can move on including him, Siwon told him once that when someone left surely another one will come. Not exactly the same person, not better, but enough to fulfill the missing part of his heart. Siwon gave him so much wisdom and in order to repay him he should live with it. He should start owning his life again and spare himself from mourning over Siwon's death. With that he wondered who will come and spend it with him.
A soft smile appeared on his face when Sora asked for his permission. He nodded to his sister who left him to play. He want to go home and return the thing to its place but he can't. It's dangerous for Sora to play alone because she's a one clumsy kid who cries easily. Perfectly just like him. Siblings indeed. And also he remembered his promise that he will start living and face the music no matter what.
"I need to talk to Sungmin and Kyuhyun when we reach home later." Hyukjae mumbled to himself. He was settled on a bench that gives a visual access to the whole park. He can surely keep an eye to his sister. He opened his sketchbook to scan his past drawings while waiting for time to pass. He was busy on his own world when he heard a weird sound coming from the bushes on his side. Omo, a wild animal? He thought.
"Oh my God! A bear! I need to find Sora! Wait-- in the park? A bear in the park? Pabo!" Hyukjae smacked his head and continued saying weird assumptions though at the end he realized it was all nonsense. A kid noticed Hyukjae talking to himself and quickly approached Sora.
"Hey Sora-sshi! That guy is your oppa, right?" He pointed to Hyukjae.
"Oh, Minhyuk! Uhm, yeah. Why?"
"He's scary.." Sora raised an eyebrow on Minhyuk's statement.
"Oppa is not scary! He's cute and adorable like me!"
"I know! I know! But look at him! Palle~ He's talking to himself!" Sora glanced to Hyukjae and glared at Minhyuk.
"He's not scary, okay? Weird. Yes, weird! Oppa is weird sometimes."
"This time count as sometimes?" Minhyuk asked.
"Aish! Okay! I'll go there and talk to him. I hate you! Merong!" Minhyuk scratched his head while looking back to Sora.
"She's scary and weird just like her brother. Hmm.. It doesn't matter! She's kinda cute." The little boy just smiled in amusement.
I swear I saw him. Hyukjae thought while pretending to look around the place. He saw his little sister staring at him with a little boy. She's stomping her feet while talking to the poor boy who just nodded and scratched his head. Scary. He thought while keeping his attention to Sora who's now approaching him on his seat. He put down his sketchbook and gave Sora his best gummy smile.
Captured. Little did he know someone was quietly settled on his hiding place and enjoying the perfect view of his gummy smile.

Days passed and Hyukjae can't forget the image of the guy behind the bushes. There's something about guy-in-the-bushes that attracts Hyukjae. He secretly wish to see him again so he can take a look on his face profile. FACE PROFILE? No, he's not thinking about it. No. It's been a longtime since he last thought about face profiles because it only results to random sketching. But he promised to Siwon, right? Maybe he should ask Sungmin for his opinion about it. One glance, one moment it never occur to Hyukjae's mind that a stranger can bother him this much. Oh, God what's this? Hyukjae muttered while waiting for Sungmin to arrive home. That's a progress, Hyukjae. A huge progress. Someone uttered from above with a smile on his face.
