Sorry to interrupt here :) I am not familiar with most of the stories, except the first one by Alexandra, but I find I can still appreciate these Visions posts so much! However, for some time now I've been browsing LJ and my Friends list from my Android smartphone (using Chrome browser) rather than my PC, which I use more sparingly now and mostly for work. On my smartphone the pics appear extremely small compared to the text, unfortunately. I have to pinch the zoom out to make the page larger about four times, to be able to see them...
This is a screenshot of how the page looks on my smartphone browser.
I don't have the LJ app installed on my smartphone, so I don't know how the page would look there (as opposed to how it looks on a browser), so it may well be a technical issue with how LJ pages are automatically formatted/coded for small screens like smartphones'. However, I don't have the same issue with other LJ posts containing a mix of text and images.
I don't know what the solution might be, but because you shooting2kill often ask your readers if your pics are the right size, I wonder if it's because you've tried different solutions in the past and didn't have the desired effect... ?
Thank you, both, cloudless_9193 and shooting2kill, for your kind answers and suggestions. In a way I'm glad my smartphone is not the only one where the pages don't show up in the desired formatting, though it would be great if all or most of LJ themes by now were optimized for smaller screens too. But I guess LJ still has lots of 'legacy' features where these issues might appear.
Thank you very much, shooting2kill, for also suggesting I should try viewing your posts on AO3, which is rightly more user-friendly in how it lets its pages be displayed on different devices, including smartphones. I'm delighted I have an alternative way of properly enjoying your posts from my smartphone, by 'properly' I mean that both text and images show in the correct size and I don't have to zoom in or out switching from one to the other, can view them side by side and be better able to appreciate the connections between them 😊... This is how it looks like on AO3, better viewed in landscape than portrait mode...
Thank *you* and you're welcome! I'm happy you're happy but I'm always a little bit disappointed when I see how the pages come up so differently on other user's screens i.e. that the text is so out of alignment with the images as I take ages to try and get those things right. But anyway, if 9it's better and you're happy then that's all that matters and you can see it on your PC sometimes?
I understand your frustration at what you're saying. I agree your Visions posts are best enjoyed on a larger screen, especially as the reader is meant to view the text and images side by side, rather than sequentially one before or after the other. I'll try and view them on a PC as much as possible, or at least switch to the AO3 platform if I'm on a mobile device. Thanks x
Please, ‘interrupt’ any time and thank you for supplying your example of a screenshot!
I think your comment is mainly addressed to Cloudless but there is a small reference to me which I thought I should address:

Yes, I think you’re right. Up until about 18 months ago I’d always been happy with the size of the images but started to get concerned when a couple of people mentioned they could hardly see them. I did make a couple of small changes but, with advice from people (including cloudless) who know a lot more than me about technical things, I’ve concluded that it’s probably a combination of things one of which is that I think there’s a problem with (my) LJ and certain browsers - Chrome seems to be the main problem but Mozilla firefox (which is what I use) seems fine. But having said that, this doesn’t explain why the people who can’t see the images in their correct size on my journal using Chrome *can* see things correctly on other journals when using chrome which is what you say here: 'however, I don't have the same issue with other LJ posts containing a mix of text and images'. So... I think cloudless is also correct when she suggests that it’s to do with my live journal theme change because this whole problem seemed to start when I changed styles from Nebula to something else which I can’t remember the name of now! So I tried to return to Nebula but it suddenly became ‘unavailable’ so I’ve ended up having to use a different theme.
So I'm sorry you're having problems seeing Visions via your smartphone, have you tried going to AO3 to view them? As far as I can tell it's much more browser-friendly than live journal and the people who've originally experienced problems say they can see the images fine at that archive.

I think it is this specific LJ theme.
