Whirlwind Sydney trip yesterday. Lachie scored tickets to So You Think You Can Dance through work and needed a buddy. I don't watch it but he offered to pay for flights and accommodation so I tagged along. We went down early yesterday so we could check out the shops. Spent all day in Crown Street looking at these lovely op shops. I bought a dress and a shirt for under $70 which was most excellent. Had delicious Mexican at Mad Mex which I'm guessing Tuckeria in the Valley is based on. Very yummy and fresh Mexican (compared to Montezumas which I had today but I had the healthier option today... and I'm still full!).
We were pretty tired when we got back to the hotel room but had to pretty much go to the studios right away. It was the longest night ever. Didn't get out until around 11ish and we arrived at 6pm. We were both so tired and we had to wake up super early as we had a 6am flight this morning. It was pretty fun, very contrived but fun. Good dances! I actually really like Natalie Bassingthwaite (sp?) now too. Keep an eye out on Wednesday and you may see us looking really excitable (maybe not). Had to watch Kesha sing "Blah Blah Blah" or whatever it is called TWICE. The crowd didn't look pumped enough the first time apparently. She did the exact same ad lib bit too during the song... what a wang chung.
Went to Ikea on Sunday with a very hung-over Jake. Got some great stuff that he needed and it came just in at what we sold on Ebay... it was too perfect. His place is looking much better now too with the purchases.
Last week leading into M'ba.. holy moly. Taking it pretty easy with training this week and only doing one session a day. Hope the cyclone and all that jazz goes away before the weekend so it's an ocean swim!
