2008 Vid Rec Post
This year I have been light on sharing the love to some of my favourite vids of 2008, so here are some of my favourite videos from the year:

OMG! I love this video! I have to admit I only realised it existed 24 hours ago, but have watched it like ten dozen times since yesterday. The song is absolutely perfect for the source material and the editing is perfect. Its fun, action-packed and a delight in every way! The overlays and motion are absolutely perfect...seriously, this video is the perfect overview of Smallville with focus on Clark and Lex. Its awesome!

This video is beautiful. The editing, song, its absolutely perfect for Tammie Taylor and her characters struggles with her children in season two. I have a lot of respect for this video, as, after a recent attempt at a FNL video, it is not an easy fandom to capture but this video manages to completely capture the essence of Connie Britton's portrayel and its so great to watch.

Okay, last year I became absolutely obsessed with this song, and I have recently been on a huge 80s movie kick so this video is absolutely perfect for me right now hehe! The hair and the clothes of this unforgettable decade are all captured, and the comparisons throughout the video are so much fun! The editing is simple, but extremely well executed and works with the song perfectly. This video is definately one of my favourites of the year- with soooo many movies featured it makes you want to rewatch them all!

The original of this video was one of my favourites when I first started vidding, because I had never seen anything like it before. The song is a dramatic trip and the choice of characters for the song is perfect. Anyways, the remastered version is absolutely perfect! The use of colour in this video is perfect...okay, I've used that word a lot but the editing, everything about this video is so well executed. Its still the same angsty, dramatic, violent vidding overload that I loved when I first saw it, but its a lot cleaner and more precise. Love it!

One of, if not, the best dancing video I have ever seen! When I was making "Just Dance", I downloaded a hell of a lot to see which editing styles worked for dancing in a video, and which didn't. This one works perfectly! The start of this video really stood out to me because it was so different because it establishes motive and character, which a lot of dance videos don't do (I couldn't manage to do it in mine!). The superior editing in this video definately stood out because every dance move is perfect to the beat of the music. Plus the song is an absolutely perfect choice and the beat allows for a lot of flexibility in the editing, which is utulises excellently.

This movie is so great! I absolutely love it and this video captures the fun, dancing side of the film perfectly. The editing is perfect, and every action seems to match the beat of the song perfectly. The chorus of the song alone makes you want to get up and dance, and with the scenes from the music perfectly fit to the beat, seriously, I had to control myself not to get up! Its an incredibly fun 3 1/2 minute ride and makes me love the movie even more!

I absolutely adore this video! It perfectly encapsulates everything the movies are about topped with perfect editing and perfectly synced parrallels and comparisons. Without completely focusing on Peter, it manages to perfectly show his journey through the three movies as well as giving insight into the villians and the affect he has over his best friends. The editing...seriously, its completely flawless! This really is an amazing video that manages to capture what is so incredible about the Spider-man films!

My love for this song, the show, the characters probably make me partial to this video but it is honestly the best Tim/Lyla/Jason video I have ever seen. When I first watched this video, it blew me away because it captures perfectly the mood of the entire show and the relationships between the character. The editing is amazing in every way! I don't know what else to say, the show is not easy to vid because of the hand-held camerawork, but it does create some incredible shots that are fully utulised in this beautiful video!

A brilliantly funny Supernatural video that shows the softer, bubbly-er side to the show! The song is a classic and is perfectly used for this fandom, showing Jensen and Jared at their most hilarious. The editing is flawless and the clips match the beat perfectly! I really do love this video and it is definately one of the best comedy Supernatural videos I've seen. Awesomeness!

Lex Luthor at his best! This song is so awesome and makes for the an incredibly fastpaced, awesome video with a song that fits Lex suprisingly well. If you didn't have love for Lex before this video, this video definately frames him as the best! The editing is perfect, clip choice, the action, general awesomness...take my word, this video is a Lex-trip hehe!
