I cannot wake up at 6am anymore. I am so intensely fxking tired. I want to just collapse on the floor right now and I really cannot believe I have five hours of dental assisting ahead of me. It escapes me why the school would want to occupy a good half of our clinical time with assistantship. We're studying to be dentists, not dental assistants. If we only had hired help to aid us we would have DOUBLE the clinical time we have now. And they say oh there are insufficient funds blahblah. But if you think about it, hiring these assistants would cut down our term time easily by at least half a year while retaining our requirements as they are. And that is half a year less of paying adjunct staff/utilities bills + more time for the students to relax and/or study & more time for the teaching staff to practise.
But alas, some things will never change. What a waste of time.
