Okay, so, basically I got a job and it's taking up more of my internetting time than I realized it would - 9 full hours of it, haha. Which, is good! And doesn't mean I'm going on hiatus or anything, but it does mean that basically I've dropped the ball on getting this guy some backstory.
SO HERE'S MY IDEA: we can use this post to figure out just where Gamzee's loyalties lie!
I've had some ideas about it, and obviously I don't expect anyone to conform to them, but he'll probably bug characters even if he doesn't know them alllll the tiiime.
Now, things that are set in stone are that he's buds with Karkat, and probably John Egderp by default, and all of Karkat's friends probably know him just because he's that obnoxious kid who's from Slytherin but hangs out with the Gryffindors. Natch I'm trying to work things out with my Homestuck cast, but that doesn't mean he only has Homestuck friends! Not Gamzee; he's way too full of general miracles to let all these awesome friends pass him by. B)
Things that I've decided are things like he likes to pester Namine because he thinks it's awesome she draws and he likes to pester Maka because he thinks she works too much, and he just likes giving out advice so he'll do it for anyone looking for some, so he'll probably pester anyone regardless of knowing them.
other than that my backstory is wiiiiide open, so if you'd like to have friends/buddies/enemies etc made with Gamzee, go right ahead. :3
I'm also open to the idea of people knowing about his other personality or having made him mad enough to have been attacked by him/them, but I'd like to tiptoe around this as much as possible, just in the interest of keeping his secret... well, a secret. It'll probably get more gametime (like any gametime orz) when 4th year starts, but that's still a ways off, so... yeah.
tl;dr if you have any ideas for Gamzee backstory and your character, I'm totally open to them all~! :3
