It's a Fact
Fact: I grew out of Transformers sometime in the 8th grade. Yes they were cool but Transformers don't have boobs or collars. Well except for the one female Autobot but seriously, why do robots even have gender designations outside of porn? Seriously, why?
Fact: Although I am eternally grateful to Michael Bay for making Scarlett Johanson run around in a flimsy t-shirt for most of 'The Island', the fact of the matter is, Michael Bay makes loud sucky movies.
Fact: 80's properties are the true living dead and I wish every 80's property that gets re-imagined for a feature length movie would have it's head shot off.
Unbelievable True to God Fact: The new Transformers movie was not only really good as an action movie, but it was also the funniest movie I have seen in a long time. Watching a twenty foot robot pop a cap and piss lubricant on a government agent was right up there with watching a monkey pirate pull a pistol on a parrot prate.
What also really impressed me was the utter lack of reliance on the source material. This was a good stand alone action movie that didn't require a prep course in Transformers Nerdity to enjoy. It's a movie about a boy and his first car that just happens to have a lot of hot robot-on-robot action.
