[ spring break ]

has been lovely, thus far. Aside from minor altercations with my dad when(ever?) I want to socialize. Grudgingly, perhaps, he has indeed let me have friends over almost without exception. I would just be nice if I didn't need to get grief about it.

I have, thus far accomplished for productive things (homework, etc.) only a litte. I have had a number of wonderful dates with Katie, and seen some of my friends in the east end (alec, josiah, dan) and made some money selling, of all things, the magic cards I thought only a few weeks ago would never be touched again.

I did, yesterday, have an experience. I knew I had my job interview for working at the Chatham Arts summer camp (beats flipping burgers), so when, at 10:55, my dad asks "When is your interview" I reply, "hmm... about 3 I think, lemme check. Wait! Dad! It's at 11:00" (meanwhile, having looked at the sheet I see that it really is for 10:45, but I make the decision to say 11:00 based on the fact that I suspect my dad would have died in an auto accident getting us there had I told him otherwise).

So, we get to Chatham (which is very close, really) about 11:05. Mr. Timmis, my interviewer, and head of the whole program, had left at 11:00. I got lucky when, having reached him on his cell, he came back.

The interview went well. Enough, apparently, that despite being 30 minutes late, I landed a position teaching outdoor art.

In other news, I got into Haverford today (along with Pitt and Oberlin, making 2 thus far). Woo!
