Everyone knows that I am an advocate for gay marriage. As a human being who believes that everyone deserves the same equal rights under the law, I feel that placing any sort of ban on whether two people can marry or not is unconstitutional and plain wrong. I don't make the argument a moral or religious one, because I am fortunate enough to live in a country who's laws protect me in a sense of I have the right to believe what I want and have the religion I want as well as I have the right to be protected from those who wish to force their religious beliefs on others.
It doesn't matter what botched version of the bible you are reading from, telling two people, regaurdless of sex that they cannot marry in a free country because it is morally wrong according to the religion that you claim is not constitutional.
Why butcher our constitution so someone can sleep better at night knowing the "scary gays" cant marry? It makes no bloody sense to me and it almost makes me wanna just go fight with picket signs and petitions until every state citizen in every part of this country knows the difference between belief and law.
I am not some moral lacking crazy person that runs around just doing anything on a degenerate level and living a life of sin and evil...I am a normal, god loving person who took the teachings that I learned in sunday school (before they got corrupted by what you can and cannot do according to denomiation and all that stupid shit) and I love everyone and pray to God every day that I am a good person and I try to be one...
I dont spend my time filling my life with hate against another person just because their ideal of a perfect mate is not the same ideal as mine.
If God is love, then why the hell cant people just let other people do what they want and leave them alone as long as they are not murdering and killing people??? Is that so hard, or are we too used to moral highgrounds and judgement and forcing what we believe on others that we will throw the constitution out the window to get the picture of what we think the world is right?
I hope to God the lawmakers in Massechusettes agree with their Governor Elect and do not do something so backwards that it makes no sense to the country many men and women die to protect and forsake our own Constitution to make some people who cannot look past their own faith to realize not everyone believes the same as them and DONT ban gay marriage.
