Just a quick line. In addition to my eating changes (I'm not on a diet, I eat what I want, I just make better decisions, and look more closely at my serving sizes) I've joined a gym. There is a new 24 Hour Fitness less than 5 minutes from the house, and they don't require contracts. So I joined. For those in SCA here, Elec and her bf are my workout partners; because without someone other than myself to be accountable to, I wouldn't go on a regular basis.
Thus far I have gone every day but this weekend. I figure honestly, my weekends are mine to frolic and play or be absolutely lazy :) For sure I will be going 3 days a week, though likely I will do 5 days a week unless I have other plans/commitments. for now I do straight cardio with Elec and Shannon 3 days a week. Depending on how long of a cardio workout we do, I will either be done for the evening or go on to do an isolated workout on machines and free weights by myself.
the other two days a week I go in during the day when there are far less people around, and I do a cardio warm up, and then to an isolated workout. (meaning only working on one area of the body at a time; upper body, core, or legs)
So far, the only time I have been sore is after my upper body workout. It's pretty freaking awesome.
I forgot how much I actually really enjoyed the gym :)
I LOVE the gym actually...and I think that I can totally make my goals. Between my change in perspective on food, and my drive to do what is needed in the gym, I think I'm totally gonna rock this.
