First off...HAPPY *ahem* (belated) BIRTHDAY!!! To the ever wonderful
nadalia!!
I hope you had a great day doll!!!
Second order of business...some of you have been a party to personal emails from me, so have all ready have seen this, but others, such as
nadalia who used to live here in DFW, and might still ahve connections might be able to help!
So here it is:
I want to have like a HUGE party for my 30th birthday in October. HUGE.
Here's the sketchy outline of what I want.
Venue: holds 60-150 people (or 50-100...not sure yet)
food: catered, no hastle to me or others putting this together. Set up buffet style so people can munch as they want, and catering people take it away, also adding to the no hastle thing.
drinks: softdrinks provided, hard alcohol, sorry folks, you have to buy your own! But want to make that available if possible.
entertainment: can't decide between burlesque or belly dancing. I DO know how I Want that to work, but not sure it's realistic. I want a troupe, not just a single or two performers. I want them to perform twice through the evening (or one really great show with audience participation for a while), they'd be welcome to eat, and partake of the festivities, it would likely add some pep to the event anyway to have them mingling with the guests. So they'd be working guests that are paid...make sense?
Don't care if they are "professional", so long as they are professional in their demenor, a decent troupe to watch, fun and well...FUN!
So yeah....right now venue is the hardest thing...anyone have contacts at the House of Blues in Dallas?? They have the PERFECT venue (it's a private room, with a stage, a bar, and everything needed), and even catering, but would cost $2500-3500! EEK! I Can't do that...we'd like to keep it around a thousand to 1500 for food and venue.
HELP!?
