Ok, let me tell you this...simple things to draw SUCK!
Give me a scroll with lions rampant, trees with millions of oak leaves and acorns...beasts and flowers....but damn you; don't give me an item that is SIMPLE to draw!! Because it is easier to tell if you screwed up, and obvious if it isn't done right!
BAH!
These escallops have given me a hard time. I finally have a pattern that is acceptable to my eye. And believe me, THAT took a WHILE! (we'll say 8-15 stencils later)
Thankfully the pointy cross thingy was easy, as I only had to make one good pointy arrow piece and copy it.
I have to go out and get some liquid paint tonight. The spray paint can't be manipulated to do what I need completely, but is doing a freaking FANTASTIC job and getting the big things done.
So I'll have to take a can lid of the purple with me to match with paint there. Don't want it off.
Also, if I use a liquid paint, I can hide the physical scars of the shield itself a little better. Heavier viscosity, thus more of a "filler".
I haven't decided to do the ferret or not yet...McG, do you have a particular ferret face you are fond of? Gimme pictures.
Need them asap.
If not, I'll look around tomorrow for one I like. And then when the rest of the stuff is done (the stuff that HAS to be there) I'll decide if I want to mess with the rodent.
Overall though, I'm happy with my progress, and am fairly confident in what the end product will be.
