Very welcome! Ooo, was the Delaware one of the ones that's gone dark though? There are several on the list that seem to not be in use anymore... Kind-of sad really.
It is sad, especially the ones that aren't in use at all any more. There's one about 45 minutes from my house and it's all overgrown... Looks a bit like a ghost town.
I've never been, but seems like Ohio is a good state to take advantage of it in!
btw, (and totally off-topic) I thought of you over the weekend when I checked on my family's little pumpkin patch -- we've got nine or ten pumpkins in our garden and I am so excited about the possibility of making pumpkin seed brittle this year!
hee! Yes, it probably would be a GREAT setting for a horror story!
Pumpkins are one of those things that you really have to plan enough space for... We made the mistake this year of planting both pumpkins and watermelons... We thought we'd given them enough space, but somehow they seem to have met in the middle of the garden and the strawberries (which were in between them) are more than a little cramped, poor things!
I will definitely let you know how the brittle goes! We planted our pumpkins a little early, so the ones on the edge of the garden have already begun turning orange. It'll still be a few weeks before they are completely ripe, but I am looking forward to it!
Ooo, or perhaps, cursed/haunted/something-along-those-lines? There're many possibilities, really!
LOL. Actually, we always worry about the corn, when we want to plant sweet corn, but the farmer nearby plants feed corn... The wonders of cross-pollination!
*g* I enjoy jack-o-lantern carving as well. It's kind-of like cake decorating, its own separate art form. Though, admittedly, I do much better work with icing than I do with knifes and pumpkins!

I've only ever been to a drive in once in my life. It was a very sort of surreal experience.

It's very weird watching a movie in/from the car.
Oh how neat! I wanted to do some pumpkins this year but we don't have enough room. :(
Let me know how the brittle turns out! It's so yummy!

I think we will! They are coming along nicely!

It's sort of scary what nature does, isn't it?
Goody! I love to carve jack-o-lanterns.

Scary, indeed! But pretty fascinating, too!

It really is.
I seem to have marvelous luck with pumpkin carving. I even carved a 'Happy Birthday' pumpkin for my mom last year! :)
