Thank you so much for making something for me! I am very easy to vid for! I love vids in general, I always have, and I like a lot of different kinds of things. If it's for one of my fandoms and you want to make it, I am sure I will love it. I would be equally happy to receive a vid for any of the fandoms below.
Music: I listen to a lot of different kinds of music. My favorite for vids tends to be pop, alternative, 70s/80s/90s rock, that kind of thing. But I'm flexible, and anything you think fits the canon would make me happy! I love earnest vids unironically vidded to cheesy pop music, so don't worry about a song being too overplayed, over-vidded, or tropey. But I also like discovering new music through vids.
General likes: You really can't go wrong with ensemble vids for any of my requested fandoms. I absolutely love ensemble vids, or anything that celebrates the canon overall; if in doubt, just make me a general vid about the thing, or about the part of it that YOU love best, and I'll be delighted. Sincere feels (especially for family/found-family, or groups of people who work/live together), friendship hijinks, and celebrations of a canon's beautiful/visual aspects are especially my jam in vids.
General dislikes: I'm not fond of heavy use of voiceovers (some voiceovers here and there for effect are fine), constructed reality vids that bring in clips from other media with the same actors to create a new narrative, or extremely cracky/ironic vids.
Fandoms:
Dark Matter
This show was great and I miss it so much. Among the characters, Three and Five and Two and Android and Truffault and Sarah are my faves, more or less in that order, so a vid focusing on any of those or any of the relationships between them would really make me happy (especially Three and Five, who I really can't get enough of). But you can't go wrong with any sort of general vid for this show. I love its themes of redemption and friendship/family and trying to be a good person in a hard world. There isn't anybody on this show I don't like.
Iron Fist
I love this weird kung fu soap opera SO MUCH. Some specific things I might like: a vid about Ward and Danny; a character-focused vid about Ward, Danny, Colleen, or Joy; a vid about the siblings (the whole Ward-Joy-Danny-Davos mess); or a general ensemble vid. But I love everyone in this show and I ship Danny/Colleen (with smaller side ships of Misty/Colleen and Ward/Misty), so I would be happy with anything you give me for this! I really enjoy its optimism, and how much the characters care about each other, so something with an upbeat found-family vibe would be lovely; though of course you can always do a vid with a darker feel depending on which character(s) you focus on. Feel free to bring in clips of various characters' storylines from their crossover eps in other Netflix shows.
Adventures in Babysitting (1987) [SAFETY]
I really love this movie; I'm surprised how well it still holds up. I don't have any specific ideas for a vid I'd especially like for this movie, so the field is wide open for whatever you want to make; I think anything would be delightful. Something with a colorful, perky 80s vibe might fit the canon very well.
Schitt's Creek
I watched this show for the first time this year and absolutely loved it! I've fallen in love with the characters and this ridiculous, fun town. I think what I'd like best would be a general vid about the town, or one about the Roses, or one about David and Alexis, or David and Stevie's friendship, or the show's general theme of doing better and being a better person. But anything you make would delight me, honestly! I love the canon ships, and all the characters. I'm not as fond of Roland as I am of the rest, but I don't mind him in a vid, I just wouldn't want a vid entirely about him.
Wiseguy
If you pick this one, please leave out anything to do with season four. Things I would like best: a vid about Frank, about Frank and Vinnie, or about the three main guys, together or separately; or a general vid about the show, the undercover/loss-of-identity theme, or something of that nature. Among supporting characters, my favorites include Vinnie's family, some of the one-off female characters like Lillah and Nona, and the Lynchboro characters (I'm weirdly attached to that arc). If you wanted to do a vid just about the supporting characters that Vinnie meets and interacts with, that'd be great too! I'm not as fond of Sonny as some are; I do like him, I'm totally fine if he's included in a general vid about the show, but I don't really want a vid focused just on Vinnie and Sonny, or exclusively on that arc.
Beetlejuice (1988) [SAFETY]
This movie is still so much fun. I especially love that Lydia is never forced into a makeover and ends up being accepted and loved as the weird Gothy person she is. I think a fun bouncy vid might suit the movie well, or perhaps something a little bit spooky? My favorite thing about the movie is Lydia's friendship with the ghosts, so a vid about that would delight me, but I'd also enjoy a vid about the movie in general, or something that celebrates its weird, fun aesthetic.
Simon & Simon
I wouldn't even have thought of this one, but then I saw it in the tagset and okay, wow, I loved this show so much back in the 80s; I would love anything for it! Siblings are totally my jam, so anything about Rick & AJ would be awesome; feel free to bring in the others as well. Something with a bouncy 80s vibe would be really great for this show too.
