Stressful times all around...

So it's been a while since I've made any posts or updates, it's been a trying few weeks on my nerves. In the last few weeks my wife has been semi-diagnosed with MS, not definitive yet as tests are needed but that's the direction they're looking. It's unfortunate but it's at least an answer to the issues she's been having for years now. Thankfully it's something that at least partially controllable with medication, so we're hopeful it won't be so bad.

Myself, I finally got done with my work trip to Florida. It was a stressful event for me, especially given I was to meet with basically everyone up the chain of command but the CEO of the company. It was a lot more self-imposed stress than was apparently required. My manager is a delightful woman, and her manager (the Senior VP) is fun and entertaining to work with. The CIO was a strange one; one day he seemed annoyed that my manager brought me by but the next day when I saw him he as in a much better mood. Apparently he has days of being ridiculously busy, understandable and I tried not to take it personally.

I also finally had my doctor's appointment about the mass on my testicle. Thankfully it turns out that it's just a cyst and nothing to really worry about. Unless it suddenly grows a large amount in a short time, I can just leave it alone and it may or may not go away. If it does get bad, the only course of repair is apparently to reverse my vasectomy and hope it helps. Something I would very much like to avoid...

Had our meeting with the housing people about our re-certification. I was pretty paranoid about it because our initial certification they'd mentioned that if my income exceeded a certain amount, we wouldn't have been approved. Since i took my new job, I'm over that line - thankfully, apparently that line becomes a bit more fungible after you're already in a unit. They're not apparently concerned about it until a certain point of 'excessive overage'. Worse case right now is that they might raise our rent 3%...I think I can live with that. We also put it to them that we'd like to stay in the area, and possibly move into a 4 bedroom if possible so there's some hope they'll let us know if/when one opens.
