So okay I am obliged to discuss the 311 concert. Well unfortunately I didn't get the guest pass, nor did Eric, but that didn't put a damper on things one bit. I talked to Jim and thanked him again for what he did for me in New Orleans and he assured me that 3-11-05 will be even better. He wouldn't tell me why although I tried to get it out of him.

I was simply comparing the crowd vibe to last years crowd. Maybe if you werent attached at the hip by your girlfreind last year you could have been in the crowd with for the whole show and witnessed how bad it was compared to this years crowd.
But given this years was pretty bad.......... atleast for a 311 show, you gotta keep the peace and unity. But you know there are always those assholes that only own Evolver and the Greatest Hits, and go nuts for like its a fucking Slayer show. Thats gay! I saw 2 fights almost break out during a mosh during the Roots. THE FUCKING ROOTS! Who is the genius who was like "Lets mosh during a rap band". Last year I couldnt even move out of the crowd without someone pushing me and coping an attitude cuz i wanted to get out. This year I had no problems at all everyone was willing to move and thats how I easily got up front. I didnt run into problems with crowd surfers that much. I didnt really stay in the middle that much either and maybe thats why. I was on P-nuts side right up front until Loco. Then I moved to Tims side right up front for the rest of the show with like a two song break in between switching.
Ill still be there next year its totally worth it! 311 and the Roots were amazing!!
