俺はどこ、ここは誰？(where am i? who is here?)
been meaning to do this for quite a while, but was saving it till i did the "grand reveal" at bon odori a few weeks back, and lj + archi has been a bitch to me after that =.=
You know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.
Please copy mine below, erase my answers putting yours in their place then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration! One-word answers seldom help anyone out.
1. Name: Khairil Nizam bin Ibrahim
- arabic meaning : the best of laws/rules. technically true cause im very OCD on the things i care. but those things are few and far between for ppl to actually notice it hehehe XD
- i go by Kal with almost all of my malay friends tho. it's a name given by my father when i was a wee lad, as a tribute to his best friend at the time. this nickname comes in handy when you have alot of khairuls khairils and nizams in a group hehehe.
- cosplay peeps call me Shoji, from the character Shoji Tokairin from You're Under Arrest. reason? i was/am deeply infatuated with Natsumi Tsujimoto from the series, and what better nick to take than from the char that becomes her bf 8D
- wow peeps call me KK, short for Kaosklaw. they woulda called me kaos, but early on there was another character named Khaos, so i got to be KK to lessen misunderstandings :3
- i resent being called Nizam. the only ppl who calls me this are the very alim ppl, cos technically khairil (and kal) doesnt have a meaning on its own :\
2. Age: 23 this year.
- too many ppl say i dont look my age. to that i say: yay? 8D
- i still dont get the 21=pivotal point in life thingy btw :3
3. Location: Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.
- living with parents (finally!) after like... 10 years of living away from home. which brings to...
4. Occupation: Student
- currently a part 3 student of the Bachelor of Science of Architecture in UiTM (yes
sky_pegasus is my senpai hahaha)
- to those wondering why im suddenly back in malaysia, suffice to say i dug too deep a hole in japan to be saved.
5. Partner/Relationship: none atm, nor in the forseeable future
- the only time i've ever been un-single is the time of my life between 16 and 19. we were from the same boarding school, so we could meet anytime. but once school was over, she went home to Banting while i Shah Alam, and later she went to UiTM Johor while i studied in UM, so the long distance thing strained the relationship, mostly cause im not the type who calls for no reason (back then XD). one thing to note was i actually didnt feel anything at the end of the relationship, neither sad, happy nor any other feeling. just numbness. that kinda scared me, and never really gotten into going into a relationship after.
- fast forward to earlier this year, and i finally got to know someone who's actually perfect enough for me to be thinking of getting into a relationship again. sadly love is a 2way thing and having feelings for someone doesnt mean she will have the same feelings for you. in the end i decided to just let it go and keep the friendship formed between us instead of pursuing it and making it hard for both (and possibly more) parties.
- randomly, a senior asked me when i will be getting married when he found out im like, 23years old in a group of 18year old students. my answer? when i find someone XDXD
6. Kids: 2 or 3 like how my family is now seems ideal.
7. Brothers/Sisters: 2 sisters. One is 17, the other 11. big age difference i know XD dont really have anything to say about them since i spent the last 10 years not at home much hehe. i do refer to them once in a while on wardrobe choices tho :P
8. Pets: not technically mine, but our house does have 3 cats; namely bubble, nana and mimi. posted a pic of one a while back, she's the short haired one 8D they're really manja, but only to ppl they know (as deru can attest to hahaha XD)
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
- just started the architecture course in uitm. its quite a change from all these years being a science student i can say that much hahaha XD
- wow has been put on hiatus till i get all my business settled here, but once thats all finished we're currently on the road to learn the illidan encounter (30minute epic fight that involves joining forces with Akama AND Maiev anyone?)
- and now that im back in malaysia for good i can finally do more than gacc cosplay plans hehe
10. Where and for what did you go to school for?:
- went thru primary and high school with the thought of studying overseas(read=japan). wasnt really sure on the what to study tho, which kinda explains the bad performance once i got there :P
- once it was decided that i was returning back, got to do some very serious soul searching, and decided that despite not really prepared for it i should go back to my roots and study what i wanted in the first place, which was architecture
11. Parents:
- dad's a self-employed town planner while mum's an applied science lecturer at uitm. she's the parent im close to, as dad's the kind of parent who doesnt know one word of kindness/praise. i know it's prolly cause he's concerned for us, but i ont think i've ever heard even one word from him thats not negative in the 20 years of my life i can remember. you tend to not to be close to ppl like that. (not saying he's a bad father, far from that. he just lacks ppl skills with his family :/ )
- i cant really remember the story of how they met, but i remember that they met despite them studying in universities halfway across the USA from each other. mom was just dumped by her fiance, and dad had just taken a new major after finding out he was taking the wrong course (blame similiar course names and his low understanding of english). so yeah, both literally starting from scratch, in a foreign land. :P
12. Who are some of your closest friends?: hahaha drama bait question. ill answer with my closest friend (not plural) = nikey, my wow buddy from high school. :P
- been friends since form 1 (boarding school = socialising only limited to schoolmates 90% of the time)
- been playing diablo (1 AND 2), mtg, ro and now wow together
- despite being in different countries after SPM we've developed our friendship to the point where we can actually read each other's minds at times hahaha XD
13. Favourite Anything?:
- game = wow
- band = third eye blind
- food = chicken (just the meat, i dont eat bones organs nor skin)
- past time = listening, either to music or chatter between friends XD
- anime heroine = natsumi tsujimoto from YUA (durh)
- manga = getbackers

- ice cream = rocky road (hard to find now in malaysia tho T_T)

in recent news
- i did an acrylic painting on perspex, which is kinda a milestone for me seeing that i never touched a paintbrush since... form 3. :p
- my architecture studio won various awards, including best studio, at the recent archi-fest (kinda like architecture day)
- our studio is hard at work for archi-kite, (our faculty's "lets build a kite and fly it too" day) which is this sunday, and
- i will be going with our dear
yuu_chan to the MTV Asia Awards at genting this saturday (PATD for me, SuJu for her *squee*)
fyi: all archi students are given a studio according to their semester, so sky's in studio part 7 arc while im in studio part 3
