Ok, I think you just managed to consecutively tear my heart right out from behind my ribs and trample on it. Which is very impressive, considering it wasn't a long fic. But it was powerful, desperate and gut-wrenching. I hate reading them both so upset, but you write it so well! xxx

I agree, both gut-wrenching and plausible. I can definately see Sarah Jane not reacting well to an unexpected kiss. You hit the nail on the head in a couple of your fics that maybe Sarah Jane isn't ready to confront her own feelings and her gut reaction is to push Maria away, but at the same time feeling like her heart has just been ripped out. Lovely piece of angst and tension here.
