I helped launch a website! Hooray!

I realize I haven't posted anything real in a while.

Since December, I've been working as a contributing editor for Women's Voices For Change
I've been editing posts, finding stories for them, promoting the site (as you, my lovely f-list know).  I've learned a whole lot, worked with excellent people... my co-editor and very good friend, ChrisL, and the very impressive women of the board of directors.
For the past couple of weeks, ChrisL and I have been working hard on the site redesign and server changeover... making sure all the entries import correctly, and the site looks good, and doesn't crash.
It's been hard work...

But- it has been tremendously fun!
Today- Chris and I got to revel in our accomplishment.  We went to the gala benefit lunch for WVFC.  I got to meet the contributors and board members, many of whom I'd emailed, or edited their posts.  But I'd only ever seen their pictures.  It was great fun to talk to them in person.  Ther was one contributor I didn't recognize until she tilted her head to the angle from her picture on the website!
I'm still grinning from the sheer positive energy of so many accomplished, smart, classy women getting together to celebrate themselves and our site.
And I want to interview them all!   About life choices, careers (God knows I could use the advice) and just the stories they have lived.

Working with WVFC is definitely the most fun I have ever been able to put on my resume.  It's not a full time job (sadly!!!) but it makes a very, very good blueprint for the perfect full time job/career for me.  (Now--- to find that in this economy.... hmmm!)

And now you all know what I've been up to these past few months.
