Weekend Report
A lot of ups and downs this weekend. Work was unpleasant, but at least it is over, and they're going to buy me dinner tonight.
Everyone needs to go see the Coen brothers new movie, "Ladykillers", if they haven't already. What an absolute riot. Featuring such quotable lines as "He brought his *BITCH* to the Waffle Hut!" and "Gimme that doughnut money!". Definitely not on Oscar contender the way "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" will be, but much funnier.
Almost 4 months after purchasing my house, we finally replaced the door knobs on the exterior doors. At least the both open and close properly now and are on the same key. Deadbolts soon to come. It only required a little hacksawing of the existing doorknob; hopefullly we won't be fulling metal shards out of our feet.
The Cherry Blossoms were beautiful; I can't recall if I had gone to see them since I went with neomera3 years ago. silent_shade, nuja, D, Andy, Eb and I all had dinner in China Town afterwards, then I scampered home to go to Odenton for a poker tournament. I placed 3rd in my second outing to a No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournament, out of a field of 18. Ethan took first place after a costly error on my part simultaneously took me from 1st to 5th and moved him from 2nd to a commanding 1st. It doesn't look like Vegas is going to work out, so I'll have to settle for Atlantic City, not that Paul's 21st birthday will be settling.
I was glad to come home and find that the strawberries got eaten, but man oh man, am I tired of doing dishes for 20. Green wizard needs a dishwasher *BADLY*.
