Jesus Christ, my friends. This has been the absolute slowest week of my life. Yeah, I miss school... a lot. But I've been having a lot of fun, also... and I'm looking forward to going back to school in about FOUR days! Let's do this shit...
CHEERS to nights at Chris's house. Even though it resulted in having to wrestle Ken to the ground while he writhed in drunken insanity, there were particularly good parts. Whipped cream fights, a house turned upsidedown, and Chris's grungy-ass pals are all making me LOLcopter now. Unfortunately, I do believe Chris got his ass handed to him upon his parents' return home.
JEERS to trips to New York City. This is multifaceted... I hate those trips because they were visits to my Grandma in the hospital, and the situation is no fun. Good news: today she was released, and is now doing rehab in Marlton. I saw her today- she looks a lot better but is absolutely miserable with her husband there... yeah, he is annoying.
.... Wait, not so fast! Big CHEERS to running into Josh in the city, my old friend from Israel who was recently discharged from the army. For all the time I spent worrying about him in Hezbollah's claws, I was that happy and relieved to see him, ALIVE.
CHEERS to my new babysitting job. The kids are fantastic and I'm getting a load of money to tuck away for my big summer plans!
CHJEERS to John, because I think we all know that's a perfectly applicable word for him. Because I still spend exactly half my time furious with his bullshit, and the other half of the time happily daydreaming about us together.
CHEERS to my new band: Hooray Cadbury and the Foreign Bombs. Me and Lorrae had this stroke of genius at Open Mic... we were going to make sweet, sweet music. I'm at this place right now where I want to express myself using styles that have shaped my own development. So it's sort of my own original genre, but inspired. We want to create something overtly and uncomfortably sexual that will tap into the hidden hedonism in all of us. We want the glitter and pizzaz of glam and at the same time, the heartbreak and thoughtfulness of folk. We want lyrics written by our drugs, and instruments that would make the audience laugh... until they hear them. (Like rainsticks, glasses filled with water, or kazoos.) For my part, I've already been jamming on my uke all day long. I have a lot of hope for the future of HCFB
CHEERS to a dream I had about Patrick Thomas naked last night. Don't tell PT I said that! But yeah, it was amaaaazing.
