Yesterday was a killer. My day started with a client demo, but I had to leave our programmer after lunch to finish it because I had to meet a potential client. I was in a mad rush to make it on time, and, with luck on my side, I did--but just barely, because we arrived at the exact same moment! It was a blitzkrieg meeting and the proposal was expected ASAP (read: today). At this point I was in overdrive.
When our programmer checked in from the demo, I sat down with him and discussed how it went: the additional requests, users' comments, issues, and other such stuff that a PM asks. All the technical thinking shrunk my brain into a prune. We were able to cover most of the issues, but some needed further brainstorming. As my mind was close to shortcircuiting I decided that we'll just go over them next time (reminder!). I just wanted to go home and allow myself to crash. BUT I still had that proposal to write. So I whipped up a proposal in record time and left the office at a quarter to nine. By then my brain had almost stopped functioning.
I got to the MRT station, caught a train real quick, but my luck ended there. The train was stuck in Shaw for almost 15 minutes and had an extended stop every station thereafter. The management said the electricity was fluctuating. So what normally was a 15-minute ride became a one-hour torture. Good thing I had the Frasier episodes on my iPod so I hardly noticed I was in hell.
And now it's another day. It's less stressful, but I still have a lot on my plate. Nevertheless, I'll try to finish them all early so I could visit the gym. I haven't exercised in a week!

Some people wanted to see pictures of the car. Since I'm such a lazyass to take pictures myself and upload them, I've nicked off this image from the previous owner's online ad. The car is quite dated, but it's loverly and in very good condition. It's got a 1.3 liter, 12-valve engine so gas consumption is economical. In one or two years' time we'll probably upgrade (or, universe willing, probably just get another car!). But right now, all we need is something to ferry us around. Here's our new baby:
