Tripping Out

I wanted to splice more songs but I found out that I only had a demo version and I’ve used up the allotted trials. Good thing I was able to finish two ring tones and convert four songs to FM quality format mp3s. Now I’m lusting for a phone with a bigger memory. We like ’em big, eh? ;) Okay, people, heads out of the gutter.

I so want to go out of town (i.e., Pagudpod, Boracay, or Vigan) but the hubby and I are saving up for a Singapore-Phuket-Bangkok trip we’re taking in October. I’ve booked the flights already so there’s no turning back. It was originally a choice between a laptop or a trip. But as we desperately need a vacation more than anything else, a trip it is. But I’m still not giving up on that laptop. Probably after, or even during, the trip! Hihi. ;)

I’ve already made an itinerary for Singapore--as in complete with schedule, directions, transportation information, and budget allocation (no, I am not that excited). I’ve already picked out hotels in Phuket and Bangkok and drafted itineraries as well, though not as detailed as Singapore’s. Actually, the hardest part in planning this trip is finding a not-so-expensive-but-decent hotel in Singapore. Why do S’pore hotels have to be so darn expensive! And the relatively cheap hotels all have tiny bathrooms--as in less than 2 sq meters! I know we’ll be gone for the most part of the day, but I still would like a bit of comfort when we get back from sightseeing all tired and grimy. Right now there’s only one pretty decent hotel on my list. But I’m not too happy with the location. It’s near Mt. Faber and the cable car station going to Sentosa (I think), and 15 minutes away from Orchard Road. It’s accessible by taxi or bus. I have to check again if there is a nearby train station. By the way, thanks to acidburn_shey for the Singapore map. :)

I want to write more about the trip but I have to go. Forgot that there’s still something I need to do for work. Argh. :p Next time I’ll share the places of interest we’ve included in our itinerary.

Tschuess!
