Inexplicable
For reasons I don't entirely understand, allthespoons suddenly has a lot of opinions about Shea Weber and Ryan Suter. Which means I hear about them a lot. And yesterday after a delightful afternoon in the park with a soccer ball and puppies we ended up making smores/drinking with just_katarin on her balcony talking about things like:
"What if Shea Weber" (bearded Shea Weber forever and always) "really wanted to bottom but was too gruff and dudely to ask Suter to fuck him. But then he gets sex pollened and is begging for it and Suter's like BUT YOU DON'T REALLY WANT THIS, YOU WOULD'VE MENTIONED IT BEFORE. and then after he recovers he doesn't want to talk about it because he's embarrassed and Suter is wracked with guilt and blah blah misunderstandings and boning."
See, Weber/Suter is a pairing I a) generally never think about but b) ship really hard. They're like the more boring version of Duncs/Seabs. (Suter is SO BORING looking, but really, that's a step up from most of his colleagues)
So then we were talking about other pairings this applies to.
I've mentioned before how I have a lot of feelings about Stastny/Duchene even though I can barely spell Stastny, am constantly confused by the age difference (it's the inverse of the Bobby/Getzy age difference thing) and for a while thought Duchene was American???? but man, I'm into them and their stupid Bang Bang Dance.
Carter and Richards as Flyers fell into this catergory, never thought about them much, but they were obviously OTP....then this past year happened. But I would probably read Giroux/Jagr (and then kill myself. actual note on this is Giroux/Jagr then death).
But really, I think that what I'd want is Briere thinking they're boning and being bitter and angry and jealous. And then Briere/Giroux. But whatever, I blame 24/7 and Jagr's bronzer and how everyone asks him about how great Giroux is. So maybe this isn't really one I don't think about, I just wish I didn't think about it.
From the Sens/All Star weekend: Alfredsson/Karlsson but uh, probably only if it's a student/teacher AU. (Casey: UGH YOU'RE THE WORST....only if Alfredsson comes on Karlsson's face).
Caps: Carlson/Alzner OH LOOK MORE DEFENSIVE PAIRINGS. I'm so predictable. Casey tells me things about them but I forget a lot of them and am just left with "yeah, they should bone."
Anyway, I know Katarin and Casey had a lot of opinions about people I didn't care about at all. But tell me about the people you ship despite a) not knowing much about them/there not being a ton of fic that's convinced you.
I'm just going to be here on the couch nursing my hangover and wondering why my pinky toe is that color.
