Allison: but like, Frank and Gerard are SUPER IN LOVE all engaged to be married and absolutely STUPID over each other. But then Gerard has to go off to fight Napoleon or bring imperialism to India!

Allison: but SLOWLY Frank learns to live again, still hurting ALL THE TIME for the lack of Gerard and Mikey offers to marry him, because like, they're good friends! and they both loved Gerard and Mikey wouldn't expect Frank to stop missing Gerard like possible other husbands

Bex: TO FIND HIS SWEETHEART MARRYING HIS BROTHER
Allison: he has a limp! and looks ragged and dirty. YES

Allison: and Gerard looks up and Frank is all *hearts in eyes* but Gerard processes the wedding bit and goes shuttered and lets himself be taken to his room by the butler.
Allison: and Gerard gets the gist of the story from a servant about the wedding, but not the details about how Frank was basically locked in a room for six months and never came out so he's all angry and refuses to see Frank or Mikey when they try to talk to him
Bex: NOOOOOES
Allison: he's all I MIGHT AS WELL HAVE DIED OUT THERE

Allison: it was the thought of Frank that kept him alive but SO MUCH FOR THAT

Allison: and then Mikey is trying to comfort Frank, because he knows Gerard is breaking Frank's heart and being a dumbass, and really, it's not like he isn't ready to step aside and let Gerard take his place at the alter the second he stops being a fuckwit and of course Gerard walks in on them hugging
Bex: NO NO NO YOU'RE MAKING IT WORSE
Allison: (*stomps on heart a bit more*)
Bex: *WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIL*
Allison: Gerard gets rip roaring drunk that night, and is wandering around the house with his limp and he finds Frank asleep in the library with like, a book of poetry that Gerard gave him years before
and he's tired and drunk and confused and maybe trips over something, which wakes Frank up
and he's all "Gerard? Gerard!" and then he remembers all of the angry and doesn't say anything as he helps Gerard up. and Gerard hasn't been this close to Frank in a year at least, maybe more, and he is filled with all of the things he feels!
so he sort of lurches forward and kisses Frank sloppily, expecting Frank to push him away but Frank just holds on tight and kisses back, before pulling away. "You're drunk."
Gerard doesn't see what that has to do with anything, really, but Frank has an arm around his waist and is walking him back up to his room. Frank tucks him into bed and strokes his hair a bit, because he missed Gerard so much! but he's worried once the brandy wears off he'll be back to his surly self who hates Frank.
Allison: he goes to leave but Gerard grabs his wrist and says "stay."
Bex: YES, FRANK, STAY
Allison: and he can't say no, and he was going to go to the settee, but Gerard pulled him down onto the bed, next to him and Frank's pretty tired, so he thinks he'll move once Gerard is asleep but then he passes out, too, Gerard's hand still holding his
Bex: ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Allison: and Gerard wakes up, hung over, but Frank is right there, drooling on his pillow
Allison: and he's confused! and feeling guilty, because he's stealing Mikey's fiancee! (even though Mikey stole him first)
Allison: but he stumbles off to the...wherever after staring at Frank for at least half an hour
Bex: LOL the outhouse!
Allison: then he runs into Mikey who is all "have you seen Frank?" and Gerard is angry and guilty and FULL OF HANGOVER and maybe throws up
Mikey is all "are you okay?" and Gerard starts apologizing because he didn't mean to kiss Frank or have him spend the night, but Mikey should have known that Gerard would still be in love with Frank and he's not sorry about loving frank but he's sorry if he's hurt mikey and and and. And Mikey is all "you should talk to Frank."
and Gerard is all "um." and when he gets back to his room, Frank is gone, and Gerard is all "oh well, so much for that." but then there's breakfast! and Frank is convinced he made a fool out of himself last night and Gerard is nervous because Mikey was implying something but Gerard isn't sure what, exactly and he's knows Frank kissed him back, but what if it was a pity kiss for a crippled drunk?
Bex: HIS LITTLE HEART, ALLISON
Bex: ALL THEIR LITTLE HEARTS
Bex: there should be a subplot where frank needs to get married because he's sickly and nobody will want him, and mikey really wants to marry (insert someone else here) but he selflessly offered himself to frank.
Bex: i mean, the subplot would be mikey wanting to marry someone else

Bex: are the servants tiptoeing around and giving each other knowing looks over frank and gerard's heads?

Allison: and Mikey is there and Gerard is shooting him nervous looks

Allison: and, idk, there are a lot of longing looks when the other isn't looking
Bex: hee, while they're squeezing lemon in their tea with those little silver things
Allison: and then Mikey leaves them because they're ridiculous and he wants to go see bob
Bex: YES so him and bob can go for walks and yearn at each other a lot.
Allison: yes and Bob's been waiting for word that Gerard and Frank are back to being stupid in love: and well, they are being stupid because they're in love, but not TOGETHER
Bex: yeah, bob wants it back how it was! he wants gerard to bring frank a flower and then draw him holding it for the millionth time!: he wants frank to write gerard terrible sonnets and leave them in his pockets to find!
mikey's like: day 6, still no bad poetry :(

Allison: day 7: Gerard joined us for breakfast. cow eyes acheived. still waiting on conversation :):
Bex: so how does gerard get it through his thick skull that mikey was only marrying frank because gerard made mikey promise to take care of him before he left for war?
Allison: hmmm think maybe the butler brings Frank the book of poetry he left in the library and Frank has to return it to the box of Everything Gerard Gave Him Ever
Bex: OH FRANKIE
Allison: and Gerard is all "we should talk" and follows Frank back to his room, and sees some of the things in the box and realizes what it is, and is all "I didn't think you'd still...this has to be years and years old." he picks up a sketch he drew for Frank and is all "this one is horrid, I can't believe you still have it."
Frank is all "of course I do, you gave it to me."
"I was afraid they'd fall a part, I spent so much time looking at them when you left. And then when you- when we heard that-" and he's not going to cry because Gerard isn't dead, he's standing right there and probably thinks Frank a fool
Bex: except he totally IS going to cry, right?
Allison: ONLY A LITTLE
Allison: and Gerard can't stand to see him upset and wipes the tear away, cupping Frank's face in his hand
Bex: awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Allison: and he just starts apologizing, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I never should have left you, I should have sent word, I wanted to but (plot)"
and Frank's all "but you're here now and I'm not going to spend the rest of my life in love with a dead man."
and Gerard is all *swoons*

Allison: "but Mikey-" "-was honoring your memory. He's the only one that understood, he didn't expect me to stop loving you just because you were gone."
and Gerard has press Frank back against his desk then, closing the space between them with a much more skilled kiss than the one they shared the night before and when Frank kisses back, his hand wrapping around the back of Gerard's neck, Gerard just melts against him.
he kisses a path to Frank's ear and whispers, "Marry me, not Mikey. Marry me. Please, I beg you."
Bex: oh my GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
"Of course, always" Frank answers immediately, talking over him and then they very nearly get to the take clothes of stage, but Gerard wants to wait until their wedding night
Allison: Frank is not so much on board with this, but Gerard convinces him
Bex: because he's a romantic and a gentleman and he wants it to be ~~magical?
Allison: Of course. and they got to take a walk in the garden! it's a slow pace and romantic as shit and they just keep smiling at each other

Allison: they should totally go to Gretna Green. NO ONE WOULD EXPECT IT
