Concert Recap: The Hush Sound
So this was an awesome show. I was at barrier with ashairam and tygrestick and NO ONE WAS TOUCHING US. It was the best 'pit' ever. There were quite a few Greta fanboys in the crowd and I 'awwwed'. There was a girl next to Lizzy who asked "What's his name?" and we were all "That's Bob!" She ended up throwing a rose she had brought with her up on stage at him, but it sort of fell apart in mid air and there were petals everywhere. One of her friends was all "Does he have a girlfriend? You should get on that!" (I did not say, "He does, actually." because ahahah STALKER.)
It was just an amazing show, I was singing and bopping along the whole time, which, uh, resulted in Greta dedicating Medicine Man to me because "I didn't think anyone here would even know who we are, but you, you've been singing along to every song!"

The theme of Homecoming was "Putting on the Ritz" and Greta dressed appropriately. Well, she had on a pretty red dress and one of those headbands with a feather in it, and a double string of pearls. They had some equipment issues at the start, which meant Greta played the bongos for part of "We Intertwined". And then there was another issue at the start of the next song (ask Lizzy what it was, she got a set list) and Bob was all "Sorry, the electricity isn't so great in the 20s."
And then they did a Motown Medley as a closer with a bunch of their friends that I'm assuming are also students here, which was awesome. Greta got up and danced and sang while someone else played the keyboard for part of it. ADORABLE. And then they went off stage and the crowd was really enthusiastic about demanding an encore (at least from where I was) and Greta was all "Pretend it's Valentine's Day, ten years ago" and they covered Love Fool.
Notes: DARREN MAKES THE MOST RIDICULOUS FACES WHILE DRUMMING. ♥ Greta always has this half smile thing going on while she's singing and I love it. Bob is so awesome up there, and so is Chris. &HUSHIES;
We were talking with their merch guy, Adam (who I recognized from FOE videos and felt like a crazy stalker again) and he was so cute, he thought he recognized Lizzy and I from other Hush Sound shows and we were all "Sadly, no, this is our first one." But then he busted out some random other shirts that were like, the last ones of their type and ashairam grabbed one. He's really excited about the new album, he was all "Did you hear the new song, Molasses? Isn't it awesome? Just wait until you hear it on the album." and then there were high fives all around.
