Whoa.

I've never heard JAM this quiet. As far as I know, there is a grand total of about 7 students here: 4 RA's, 2 international students, and me. Whoa.

I got back here (good ol' Cornell) earlier this afternoon. I feel like the past 2 weeks have been a blur. After I got back from visiting Ithaca I feel like I did nothing but work at CVS, work at my aunt's house, and pack. And watch a fair bit of Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. But that was during the wee morning hours when I sacrificed sleep that I really should've taken advantage of since that whole sleep thing is pretty much over as of next thursday when classes start. Oh well, Diego Luna is just that hot. hehe :)

I spent the weekend with my parents and my aunt and uncle and cousins at my aunt's house in Pennsylvania. It was nice to spend so much time with my family right before coming back to school. It was really really sad saying good-bye to Megan and Austin, though. I think it sucks so much b/c I know they really don't understand 100% why I am not there. Megan is 7 and I know she knows that I am away at school, but it has to be weird for her growing up seeing me constantly and then only seeing me at holidays and over the summer. She's so cute. She's always saying stuff like me and her are so alike, and she wants to play the cello, and she loves Harry Potter, etc etc. (I haven't been able to get her into Johnny Depp yet. Maybe I'll have to wait until she's older hehe Right now she just doesn't understand the attraction...) And Austin is only 2, so I know he doesn't understand it at all. Then again, he probably doesn't really pay much attention to the fact that I'm not there, either. Just this weekend I finally got him to say my name: Weesa. It's sooooo adorable. Actually, he says something more along the lines of Weesa-Go which my aunt felt was very appropriate b/c I was GOing away to school and she teased the hell out of me making me feel guilty and sad. I miss them all already.

My new dorm room is awesome. It has a vaulted ceiling which is way super cool. And I like the way I set it up better this way than last year, too. Still have to finish unpacking...

A couple of nights ago I dreamt I was back at school, except school was high school and it was actually quite a nightmare. I was looking for my Chem 207 room to find my backpack, but all I could find were empty classrooms. In one classroom was a desk that held informtion in it revealing that Aaron was some kinda of devil-worshiper or something else really really bad that freaked me out. Then I was looking for my locker b/c I thought maybe my stuff was in there but I had a hard time getting to it b/c all of the hallways were filled with orchestras. Yes, orchestras. They were all getting ready to start playing and I had to squeeze past instruments and chairs and stands to get through the hallways. Then I found my locker but it wasn't a locker, it was a metal garbage can with a combination lock on it chained to the wall. When I opened it, the only thing in it was lip gloss. Some kid (with a real locker) said something like "Wow, the lockers here suck" and I was like "Yours sucks?! I have a garbage can!" Then I continued on looking for my homeroom. It was sooo freaking weird. There was a stuffed animal involved, too. I believe I was in a store and my dad was offering to buy me some huge bear-type stuffed animal that only cost $3. He was like "I was going to get you this for christmas but it was too much money. Do you want it now? I'll buy it for you." I was like "NO, really that's ok." And that's all i can remember.

Ok, that's enough.

dreams, family
