Любопытно, что все три корабля охранения ТАвКр это корабли с мощной ПЛО.
Можно ли сделать выводы:
1. Под водой* у нас лучше всех и всё прекрасно потому что секрет и никому неизвестно. Ясень дерёт все вирги до третьего колена и т.п.
2. ТАвКр стал универсальным инструментом. Взамен вертолётов ПЛО нагрузили антипопуасским вариантом.
*В надводниках в общем понятно и перспективно исключительно в "каботажной" зоне, "состав ВМС США пополнил 65-й ракетный эсминец типа "Арли Берк"
да и братья по сухопутной границе сложа руки не сидят

Kaga returned to Japan in early March because of engine troubles.
The raid was a highly succesful operation for the Japanese. Having lost only roughly two dozen aircraft, they sunk the british carrier HMS Hermes, two heavy cruisers and two destroyers. Addionally, 23 merchant ships and more than 40 aircraft were destroyed.
Anyone know the purpose of the padding attached to the tower?
I believe what you are seeing is their bedding fastened to the control tower to shield from shrapnel in the event of an enemy attack.
