The SSQ-53A can listen at 90feet or 1000ft below the water. It will run for 1-8 hours. The only obvious adjustment I found was the 1-4 switch on the side. I can't quite see how to set the depth but I have a few theories. There are some holes inside that if they had pins installed, they would prevent the longer green wire from spooling, leaving the black, springy wire to deploy with the other "featherish" wire with the hydrophone at the end.
