Bleh
Its been a while. I have to quit my job ASAP, its really affecting my school work now. Got 2 A's and a F so far. My boss had a meeting with me last week and didn't "write me up" although there was a piece of paper involved. He is starting to put the thumbscrews down on me, and I could give a shit less.
I have a couple of job prospects, I just have to find time to follow up with them...
On the personal end, its been okay. I did my taxes and discovered that because I am back in school I am getting a quite sizeable tax return, enough to get me out of non-educational debt and leave me enough to almost buy the laptop of my dreams. I actually have my eye on someone, but I don't know her that well as of yet, so I am going to play it safe and feel the waters out..don't want to deal with another psycho.
On the school end, I have one major project this term, and it is to get a game fully running in flash by the end. Its going good so far, I am picking this up pretty easily and so far am kind of digging it. I'll post a link when its a little more complete. The game's title is "Armored Frame X-Rizer" and its yes, you guessed it, a vertically scrolling shooter with mecha(big stretch for me). I prerendered all of the sprites for the game so they look totally kick ass and have a small file size. I am working on the background tiles and the actionscripting now, and I am hoping to have one level done before the end of the term.
Musically, I scored a leaked copy of "Frances the Mute", the upcoming album from The Mars Volta...oh man its god. Heard a leaked single from the Gorillaz as well...I guess that bastard from blur is working with Danger Mouse on this one, its was cool...but they didn't mention anything about the Automator or Del...and if they aren't on it, it will suck royally. The latest Handsome Boy Modelling School CD is the shit.
