I wrote a short script yesterday. I am kind of happy with it, of course the content of it is based on drama/events that I expended too much energy on. I started writing it and I couldn't stop until it was finished, so no matter what I guess I should be thankful that it appears creativity is coming back to me. Of course, it could have just been that it was dead at work yesterday and my anger toward my job increases every passing day.
I played around with this program last night...http://www.deleter.com/cw_english/
It is kind of cool. I really like the "speedline" generator. It can do radial as well as lines, and the result looks nice. Of course it isn't as fancy as Photoshop/Illustrator, but for the price they sell it for($100), I think it does the job just fine. I am going to play around with the trial version a bit more before I decide if I want to spend the money though.

Other than that, I think I have cured my FFXI addiction. I got onto the Lineage II Open Beta for Taiwan(and I am registered for the Japanese one that starts tomorrow) and the game is pretty damn cool. I only really have one minor gripe with it compared to FFXI, and its purely a superficial one. It appears that when you equip a piece of head armor it doesn't appear on the character. Then again, the game is beta :)
The interface is a lot nicer than FFXI, and the graphics are pretty close. Lineage II has more of an "anime" look to the game, which of course helps. :) I just hope that when it launches stateside it does well, but without the Korean crazyness that Lineage 1 had(I read a pretty interesting article about how hardcore the gamers are there, like some dude walking into a internet cafe and asking which dude here is the wizard, and when the guy answered him, him and a couple of gangsters beat the shit out of him in the bathroom, the reason being the wizard killed some character from a rival pledge.) @_@;)

Oh yeah, and I got the first couple of City Hunter TV boxes from ADV. I have mixed feelings about them(which they fixed with the City Hunter 2 boxes), but once again its just nitpicky stuff. Obviously this box was meant for old school fans(like myself) because it was only released subbed, but it appears they did the "dub" edit job with them. Ya know, like cover the episode title with a black screen and cover it up with the cheesy "fansubbish" font that they used. The opening and ending credits were the same, they took the "clean" version of them and kind of hardcoded everything on to it, which just makes it look cheesy as hell. I felt totally timewarpped watching this show, as back "in the days" I was only able to score a couple of the TV specials and a scattered range of TV episodes, but it was enough to totally get into it. Life was so much easier back then.....*ahhh nostologia*

I should get ready to go to work. Another soul sucking day of work. I used to really like my job. My "boss"(I say that because I never hear from her and when I do its usually for stupid stuff) has been putting the hammer down on us the past couple of days(despite the fact that I haven't heard from her in over a week and she didn't even get on our conference call yesterday). I just found out that a friend of mine who was with the company as long as I have(way too fucking long. My 2nd tenure with this company started in 2000, and my first was from 1995-1997.) quit to go work for EB, and the whole reason was the because of our "boss." His feelings were pretty close to mine. I guess he showed up to work in a pair of jeans and t-shirt for a month, and she never showed her face in his store. God I remember my old boss was in my store at least twice a week, even if just for five minutes. I liked the feeling of being on my toes. Ah well, I suppose I could give EB my resume. I have done a lot of good things in my time with this company, a lot of turnaround(hell I kept my old store from getting closed down due to the sales turnaround when I got there), lots of happy customers due to my way of calling policy a "guideline" and going out of my way for them(god they must hate the amount of disc read error PS2s I send back on a regular basis), etc.

Who knows, maybe I could go do something other than game retail? I don't even know what I could do, and I suppose that is what keeps me at my current job. I have considered trying to squeeze back into Suncoast, but I don't know if I would really enjoy that either.
