I think I thought I heard you loved me
Last night was finally the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club show at Cat's Cradle. Aside from the full tank of gas it took for me to drive to Carborro and back, I had a really great time. Erica and I got there just as the first song of the set was playing: 'Took Out a Loan' (my favorite song from the new album!!) Although the guys don't have a particularly interesting stage act, they DO have an amazing presence. The set was perfect, they played all my favorite songs from all 4 albums, and they mixed them up very well. Robert Levon Been even did a very well executed Bob Dylan cover. At two different points of the night, I swear Robert and Peter's crotches were within a couple feet from my face and I wanted to nuzzle them, haha. Seriously, aside from their outstanding musical talents, they're probably the sexiest band on the planet. I mean look:
There are only 3 things that could have possibly made this show any more incredible: 1. The Carborro show was one of the few of this tour where they opened for The Jesus and Mary Chain. 2. They played 'Red Eyes and Tears' or 3. Erica and I didn't end up standing on the side of the side of the stage that was apparently celebrating couples night were everyone was gazing into each other's eyes and dry humping.
