I've been talking about starting a small book club all summer, and this week it's actually going to happen. I've never been in a book club before, but I think the concept is very simple. I never have anyone but Carolina to talk about literature with, so even if the conversations are short, that's something, right? Anyway, first interest meeting is this Thursday (9/20) at 9:00PM on the back patio at Snug Harbor. There shouldn't be a cover, the weather should be nice, and we can get crunk afterwards if we want to! Charlotte friends please come!
Cathy and I have recently discovered Tyber Creek Pub off of South Blvd. The bar itself is cute I guess, but it doesn't have the most desirable patrons (yuppies and hippies). What's important is that they serve Guinness on draught everyday for $2!!! And on Thursdays, ALL of their draughts are $2. Right now they have a really great pumpkin spice ale.
