The Longest Day is a two-piece post rock band from Australia (I live in Canberra whereas cregy lives in Sydney). We'll shortly be launching our second album, 'sounds of jupiter'.

You sent me a copy of Slumber a long while ago, and I foolishly didn't give you any feedback. It was very good. Seriously.
I loved the washes and drones of what I suspected was a synthesizer, but I could be wrong. Shortly after receiving your album, I went to southern Arizona, and I took the disc with me. It proved to be a great soundtrack for touring the empty desert, driving in the canyons, especially all alone in a slight daze.
I have my copy in my cluttered room somewhere, and I listen to it occasionally on my laptop; but I couldn't name my favorite tracks. I especially like tracks 2 and 5. I'm not a huge post rock fan, and if you really consider yourself to be in that genre, you're definitely amongst my favorites.

It's faster, punkier, but still drony...

this is brad - one half of the longest day. i know it's jay's post, but i really wanted to reply and say thanks for your kind words.

i'd be more inclined to label space rock instead of post - but who cares ,right?
