The Libellus Legacy: 1.1

I am participating in the Founders Challenge at legacywriters.
The winning sim was created by simrenity.

Welcome to the sort of prologue/first update of my newest legacy, the Libellus Legacy. Unlike my Flora Legacy updates, this one will be in a sort of first person story format. Kinda of inspired by "Interview With A Vampire" except with Sims. Well, you'll see. Anyway, this update is pretty short, only 44 pictures, but the next one should be longer. Ugh, enough babbling. Here goes!

My name is Lilith Libellus. Don't laugh, I happen to think it's a very beautiful name. My mother gave it to me after all, didn't she?

Anyway, I used to live in this tiny little hick town called "Point Place". Yeah yeah, I know, just like That '70s Show. Geez, does everyone have to make that reference?

Anyway, I never really fit in well in Point Place. I mean, look at me. I'm not exactly a hick, and I'm definitely not normal looking.

Whoa, you better not be thinking about insulting how I look, though. I happen to think I look amazing. And you know you agree with me.

Ugh sorry, now I'm rambling. To make a long story short, I got tired of living in tiny little Point Place and so I moved here, to SimCity. It was just because I'd heard that the people who lived in SimCity were much more diverse and understanding. You see, I'd also heard of this wicked club in downtown SimCity, where people said if you went at just the right time, you might run into... well, let's not go there quite yet. I promise, I'll fill you in later.

This is the house I bought with the $20,000 I'd brought with me. It's on a really small lot and the house isn't that big, but hey, at least it's somewhere to live, right?

And I think I managed to decorate pretty damn well, if I say so myself. And of course, I do. It's all red and black, my favourite colors.

Plus, it has room for the old easel I brought from home, which means I can paint. Painting is one of the ways I escape from the boredom of the world.

A little while later I spotted someone on the front lawn. It was the paper boy, and he certainly looks... bored. I thought maybe I should go out and liven up his day.

"Yeah, so I just moved here from tiny little Point Place," I said.

He looked way too excited at that. I should have seen it coming. "Oh man, you mean like on That '70s Show?"

I sighed. This was really getting old. "Yeah, just like on That '70s Show. Except, you know, NOT ON TELEVISION."

Ok, is it just me, or is he STARING AT MY TITS? He is! Oh that's just too much.

I grabbed the paper and left him outside. I've got better things to do than let a pubescent little boy stare at my tits. Unfortunately for me, 'better things' didn't seem to include finding a job in the newspaper. I didn't see a thing that interested me.

However all my old romance novels proved to be a rather enjoyable distraction. They were just as juicy as I remembered, and I ended up staying up late into my first night at the house reading.

The next day I unpacked my old stereo and searched for a good station.

Oh, awesome! Turns out SimCity had a great Rock station! I couldn't help but break out my fierce dance moves.

What? Oh come on, you KNOW my dance moves are fierce! Don't be so jealous!

That night I finally got tired of sitting around my new place and dialed up a taxi to take me downtown.

Just 10 minutes later I found myself standing outside of what I'd heard was the coolest nightclub in all of downtown SimCity. It was the Crypt O'Night Club, and this was the place I was told I could meet the man I'd been searching for.

It was a bit too early for that, though, so I headed over to the DJ booth to play some tunes for the crowd.

Wow, I was great at this! I mean, I rocked!

Oh come on, you know, I'm number one, yeah show it!

Well apparently, no one else agreed with me, because I glanced up and realized that the dance floor was empty!

Heh, oh well. I knew I was good and that's all that mattered to me!

I decided to take a break from the DJ booth and, since it was so early still, I headed over to the Electro Dance Sphere instead. I wasn't at all scared about climbing inside. I mean come on, it looked like a piece of cake!

Whoa. Alright, so it moved just a little faster than I was expecting, alright?

Oh, I lied. It moved a LOT faster than I expected, and the next thing I knew, I was bouncing all over the place.

I was screaming and I really didn't care. "Owww! What is this shi-"

"Oof!" I found myself slammed against the walls of that damn torture contraption and I just wanted out!

Luckily I managed to slip through a whole in the bottom. Man, my arse really hurt after that. I didn't think I'd be riding one of those again any time soon.

I started walking up towards the front of the night club and then stopped still in my tracks. Was it... was that him?

Oh God it was. Count Derek, SimCity's resident vampire lord.

I immediately rushed over and introduced myself. He must have seen something he liked, because he gave me his number and encouraged me to call him sometime soon.

God, that vampire was HOT.

I didn't waste much time inviting him over to my place. In fact, almost as soon as the sun had set the next night, I called him up. I was so excited that I was waiting for him outside when he arrived.

"So is it true that you can turn into a bat and fly? That is so amazing!" I'll admit it, I wasn't at my best. But how could I help it. I mean, it was Count Derek a real, live Vampire!

"Blah!" He exclaimed in that sexy accent of his, "You're black hair is vonderfull, darling!"

"O-oh, thank you, Count Derek!" I'm pretty sure I was blushing at that point.

Before I knew what was happening, his arms were around me and his lips were pressed against mine in a passionate embrace.

"Mmm, Lilith." His voice was low and husky in my ear. "I can hear your veins pumping, I can smell the blood rushing beneath your soft skin. I can't resist-"

And then his teeth were against my neck, sharp and insistent, piercing the thin skin.

My body seemed to twist in all sorts of odd contortions as I levitated up into the air.

And then, it was finished. BLAH!

My name is Lilith Libellus. I am a vampire, and this is the diary of how my legacy began.

~~~~~~~~~~~~NOTES~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- I'm going to try my best to keep Lilith as a vampire and ALIVE throughout the entire ten generations. We'll see how THAT goes. The whole thing will probably be told through her perspective, almost as if you were reading her diary, or memoirs.
- I kinda cheated the rules a bit and started on a 2x2 lot. It's just better from my game. The big lots lag enough as it is, and pretty soon there'll be more people in the house slowing down the game.
- Libellus is latin for "little book". It kind of gives you a hint for the overall theme of the legacy, but also as to the naming theme for the Legacy. Lilith herself is named for a biblical character. She was the first wife of Adam who was, at least according to some traditions, a "night demon" or a vampire.
I think that's it for now. I hoped you like this first update of the Libellus Legacy. I should have either another update of this, or a new update of the Floras very soon. Let me know what you thought!
