Am I the only one who has a massive pet peeve when it comes to people who bring noisemakers...I mean kids to movies, knowing they are never going to shut up? I went and saw Episode III with my dad this afternoon for the third time, enjoyed it, but I couldn't get completely into the movie. Why? Because people bring kids with no discipline to movies. There were at least 25 8 to 10 year olds in that place, many of which enjoyed making noises to break the silence. I swear to god, how hard is it to tell your child to shut the fuck up? How hard?
I was a quiet kid, always. Me + Theatre = Silence, outside of Van Helsing. However, I do not pay 10 bucks to listen to some little kid cry while I'm trying to listen to dialogue. I think if a kid in a place like that goes 20 seconds without shutting up, I should have the right to shut him up myself. Only fair. They show that "Be quiet during the movie" crap prior to showing the movie, but they never follow through on it. I heard a bunch of kids, two cell phones, and a beeper during the movie. Blech.
Things feel so nice and simple again. I missed this room and home, and I missed being relatively care-free. Now if only I could get my sleep schedule in order.
Rented both Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater from blockbuster today. I'm not sure which one to play first though, since I played the original MGS2 before. God, I haven't played my PS2 in over a year anyway.
Anyway, I'm out. Wanted to vent a little about kids and their yuppie parents. That's what I get for listening to Carlin this morning.
