Character name: Tess
Series: Jak and Daxter
Timeline: Right before Tess is turned into an ottsel.

Background:
This is the first time Jak 'meets' her, then her boobs meet Daxter later
This is when Tess and Daxter reunite

Let's see...Tess is a supporting character and only had a few minutes in the entire game. All we know for certain is that she works in the front lines of the Underground movement and that she is madly in love with Daxter. What can be assumed is that she worked closely with Torn behind the scenes during the reign of Praxis and the Great War. Without either, Tess really wouldn't have anything to rebel against.

That was where the Underground came in. On the front lines: Tess and Torn. The two of them ran the Underground resistance like clockwork; evading the guards and collecting valuable information whenever needed or whenever possible. Tess trusted Torn and Torn…tolerated Tess’ company at best. With his love affair with ink covered pages and her knowledge in all things heavy and metal, they were unstoppable. Really, they were. Neither Tess nor Torn were ever severely injured on screen. Their goals were to take down Praxis and protect Haven or die trying. Tess was introduced to Torn’s cause only because of a little business she ran secretly at her home. She spent hours working on concealable weapons in the family garage, the basement, and even in her own bedroom. It went from a simple game, to a hobby, to something more of a career as she traded of weapons to neighbors and friends for both parts and her cherished hair accessories. He took her in only because he is a good judge of character and because he knew that she was good with a set of guns; something that the Underground would always need with all the agents getting arrested or murdered.

While I'm already going on about the members of the Underground, I should probably tell you what this thing even was. It wasn't a hole and the only dirt that could be associated with the place would be the crusted blood and mud on Tess' boots. The original Underground was located in the Slums in a small bunker in a wall.

Well, Tess didn't technically live there. She more than likely lived with Krew at the place of her employment. She worked as an undercover barmaid for ol' forty chins so she could get an inside look of the shit he was running with the Baron.

Anyway in the end of all of this, Haven was for the most part saved and everyone could try their hardest to live happily ever after in this place not too far in comparison with hell. The group meets up, finds out that the Precursors are ottsles and are granted wishes. Daxter wished for a sweet pair of pants. Tess, a slave to Daxter's wishes, accidentally wished for a pair of pants like his.

She was poofed to Vertiline instead.

Personality:
This is pretty decent summery of Tess' personality:

"I just finished this new gun. It sports a multi-port, large-bore, gyro-burst launcher with blowback breech assist, using full-jacket, eco-depleted, armor-piercing slugs, and a continuous kill zone scanner for tight groupings at a high-cycle rate of fire. Hee hee... it's a hobby. Not so fast. First you have to prove you can protect my little schunuckums' in the new gun course. "

But, as ever living thing is, she can't be judged on one very long sentence.

Tess' sweet and bubbly personality isn't all too well hidden beneath her tough girl attitude. Clad in booty shorts, a crop top, and a sexy hair-do, Tess looks like the typical female in Haven barmaid in Haven City. She is generally portrayed as the stereotypical dumb blond, but she can really make a guy shake in his boots when she's either chatting about heavy weaponry or making an effort to keep something a secret. She is a pretty strong and slightly stubborn woman. Tess is very very very protective of her little Daxy and will stop at nothing, well nothing short of giving up any secrets, to keep her boyfriend alive and kicking.

Under pressure, Tess can really keep her cool. This is clear when Daxter nearly blows her secret in front of the entire bar. The only sign of discomfort she shows is a slightly pained look about the bar, then two fingers to the perpetrating ottsel's lips.

The hardest thing to do to this girl is to bring her down. Her default is just as cheerful as the midday sun and she is the most happy when she has people she cares about around. Kill them and you will have a very angry and trigger happy woman of your hands.

The only things that motivate this girl appear to be the Underground and her love for Daxter. The former being the reason she originally took up her new hobby and the latter being what makes every single less important decision from when she falls in love with him onwards.

Appearance:
Can you say sexy buxom blond? Well that's Tess' daily appearance, sporting a green crop top, booty shorts, and combat boots. Her hair falls over the right side of her face, just missing her eye, and curls at shoulder level in the back. She has suspender-like straps and silver shoulder guards along with a purple headband and the trademark red bandanna. Her light blue shorts just barely make it past her bottom and her 'guns' are comparable in size to her guns. Why don't I just give you a picture! Enjoy!

Skills/Abilities:
Being a member of the Underground, Tess' skill lies in weaponry and general intelligence gathering and assessment. It can be assumed that she is a good fighter if she willingly offers herself to the front lines. She is a barmaid and quite possibly a mixologist of sorts so she can keep up her front. Lastly, she is a relatively good programmer, rigging the simulations at the gun courses to match enemy tactics.

Spoken/Written languages:
Precurian written and spoken, Common spoken

Items:
Just the clothes on her back.

Third person sample:
The room is dark, but that can really go unsaid. This is the Underground also known as Torn’s Hidey Hole also known as the It’s-Going-to-be-Dark-all-Hours-of-the-Day-Land. Tess almost needs a damn flashlight to use her soldering iron without fatally injuring herself. Torn’s insurance really isn’t going to cover another incident involving the ‘faulty lighting’ again.

Though, more importantly, Tess would be a lot less distracted if Torn would stop complaining about his stopwatch.

He mumbles a few curse words, slamming a fist on his precious maps. “Damn stopwatch.” Tess is at the opposite end of the room working on her new plasma fueled gyro buster with a scope and all the bells and whistles available. When it comes to Tess and her guns, the only important thing to know about them is that they are big fucking guns. Even her blueprints are inaccurate due to her constant updates to the design. She flips her blond hair over a shoulder then, with a jerk of her hips, is turned to face the Eyebrowless Wonder. Elbows propped on her workstation, the woman gives Torn a puzzled look.

“What’s up, Torn? Need the specs yet?” If she ever appreciated the company of anyone in this city besides Daxter, it would easily be Torn. She has, in a sense, grown up with him. All of her tricks, her craftiness, that front she can put up in the turn of a dime; it was all honed with the help of Torn. The only thing that he didn’t have her help with is her mastery of all things alcohol and booze related. That was included with the package, the base model.

“Tess, this thing’s broke.” He is clearly the sultan of the English language. “I’m gonna need this fer when Jak shows his scrawny ass back here.” Tess just tilts her head, taking in all of this. She really cannot believe that Torn doesn’t have anything else to complain about but the stopwatch. Tess knows that his maps, all forty of them, mean the world to him, but she didn’t think that a little clock could be so important.

“Toss that bad boy over here, Torn.” Catching the watch in palm, she examines it with one eye closed. “Hmm…looks like an easy fix, Torn! I’ll fix it up so you can make mean ol’ Jak

Torn just nods slowly at the woman, then goes back to his maps.

Then minutes, maybe even seconds later, Tess giggles.

“Here we go! This is totally, like, going to make it so much easier for you to time Jak on his missions. It even has a little button here...” She pokes the small blue button on the side of the device before waving a finger at Torn to join her. “Here it is! The first one lets you send Jak little shocks to remind him to do his job! And the other turns on a little heater I made for Daxy.”

Torn just sighs, at least he has his fucking stopwatch back.

First person sample:
[Her hips swayed from one side to the other in unison with those pounds of her hammer. Why use a hammer on a gun, one might ask? Well, this isn't just any old gun, this is a LWRC PSD Semi-automatic 223 with revolutions per minute and a 556NATO eight inch Alloy Black 30 Round Hammer with a forged gas piston. It even has a scope. She's yet to have Torn give her the final okay to actually use this monster, but hell if Tess is excited to do so.

There's a pronounced click then a soft coo straight from Tess' lips. Who would have thought that giggles and guns would ever go hand in hand?]

There we go!

[She bounces up, clenching her fists at her chest in glee. She drops that soldering gun, not even worrying about its fragility.]

Oh, boy! Dax is going to love this!

[And he'll only have the chance to love it if Jak can prove himself. It's become more of an event whenever Tess makes a new weapon not because she gives a shit about Jak's safety, but because Daxter's life lies in the gun wielder's grubby hands.]
