I've heard people say that they want us to rebuild and repopulate the city, so maybe they expect us to kill all the monsters, too. But I don't really know! It's useless to concern myself with things I don't understand.
I'm Arisugawa Sorata. Pleased to meet you. You're new here, huh? Please tell me if there's anything you need or want, and I'll do my best for you.
{Voice, Japanese}shimbo_hiromuOctober 28 2008, 03:36:57 UTC
R-r-r-r-r-repopulate?! WHAT?! But I- ... This is just wrong.
So they want us to kill the monsters around here?! I don't even know where to start with that.. Do you know how to fight? I guess you're right about that, too- I guess I don't understand enough to get worked up.
Hey, thanks man, I really appreciate that. I could use all the help I can get in this hole!
{Voice, Japanese}shockinglycoolOctober 28 2008, 03:53:42 UTC
Nah, fighting, that's not for me. Most people here can use some kind of weapon, though, or have magic, but I try and avoid all that if I can help it. Stay in safe areas, be careful moving, that kinda thing.
Well, if you need anything specifically, please say. And if you have any special talents and don't mind working, I'm sure you can be put to good use in that regard, too. If we want to live comfortably here, everyone has to work at it, y'know?
{Voice, Japanese}shimbo_hiromuOctober 28 2008, 04:29:20 UTC
I can defend myself if I have to. But it's not like I'm some Duklyon or anything- So there's magic, monsters, time travel.. Shit. Why me?! I know people online that would appreciate this more than I would!
Yeah, that's fair.. I'm pretty good with computers, but I talked to a guy that didn't even know what a laptop was! Well, as long as I have to stay here, I should at least put something into it to make myself comfortable and help everyone else. Hey uh.. About how many is 'Everyone else' anyway?
{Voice, Japanese}shockinglycoolOctober 28 2008, 04:34:04 UTC
I guess you just have to take everything in stride. You're here, so there's no use wondering about why and how and what other people would think.
There are around two hundred people here, I think. It's hard to say for sure, since they come and go. I know there's a "work on mechanical things" team, so maybe you'd be good with them? If you know about computers, I mean, computers are pretty much mechanical, right?
{Voice, Japanese}shockinglycoolOctober 28 2008, 05:35:56 UTC
I know what a computer is! I just haven't used them a lot. Not really good with things like that, although I've taken classes in school, you know. I kinda fried one of the PCs once, but that's besides the point.
But more relevantly... that voice I just heard that wasn't yours, what was that?
{Voice, Japanese} Now you've done it.shimbo_hiromuOctober 28 2008, 06:11:16 UTC
That was my laptop. She's been a real champ about all this, she isn't used to so much excitement. I should just let her shut down and take a break, but she's helping me document the information people are giving me.
You must be totally green when it comes to computers if you fried one! Then again, there are a couple people that still use more primitive models, and those aren't hard to torch. Might not of been your fault. Coulda been the PSU- Sometimes they're faulty- especially generic ones- and decide to send surges through your PC and kill it. Dead give away if the damn thing starts smoking in back.
Why don't you just go with a Persocom? They're harder to fry, faster, and more convenient!
{Voice, Japanese}shockinglycoolOctober 28 2008, 06:14:11 UTC
I couldn't help it. I have electric based powers back home and it was an accident But anyway, that's all way too complicated for me. I know about PCs, and that's it. And... "the internet." I've never even heard of "Persocoms!"
But it's all much too complex for a simple guy like me, anyway. I'm fine without!
{Voice, Japanese}shimbo_hiromuOctober 28 2008, 06:28:33 UTC
Couldn't help it? Eh. Computers aren't for everyone I guess! Shit. I'm glad Sumomo's with me. Other than the obvious functions, I use her organizer a lot. Although she hasn't been able to find an internet connection yet..
... You don't know what a Persocom is? Uh, it feels silly for me to ask this, but what year are you from?
{Voice, Japanese}shimbo_hiromuOctober 28 2008, 07:02:00 UTC
A wireless connection between phones only means text messaging. Sumomo detected that one, but she can't log onto it..
WHAAAAT?! 1999?! Goddamn! I was born in 2006! Sumomo- can you tell me the date, please??
Okey-dokey! The date is currently 2026, August the 23rd!
And.. here it's October?! Holy shit!! How did that happen?! It was August 19th before I got here! Do you know what day it is?! That sucks.. My birthday is in December.
{Voice, Japanese}shockinglycoolOctober 28 2008, 07:04:44 UTC
It's October 27th, but I don't know the year, here. It's pretty weird, isn't it? I'm surprised this is the first time you found out! But now in comparison to you, I feel old. I was born in 1982, so I'd be twenty-four years older than you if-

I don't think they want use to die, and I'm asking for stuff that would help everyone not die, so it seems okay.

I guess that makes sense, though..
Hey, I'm Shimbo by the way!

Ah, back home, it's July 1999. Not sure about here, since it's suddenly October... I even missed my birthday. What a shame, right?
