[She was only walking in this area because she had taken some wrong turn. She knew this was on the way to the barn.... maybe she'd take a moment to relax from fighting these monsters, and make sure all her friends had partners. At the moment, unfortunately, she was flying solo, and was also very crabby.

When her eyes landed on Sorata, she narrowed them, but nonetheless ran closer, moving to walk right next to him.]

Do you have a partner yet?

[At her voice, he turned around - having been walking quickly; he could be careful, a little, when he wanted to, but this was more important - checking on her, that is. She didn't appear injured.] Nope. I'm not planning on doing any fighting, and you only need them if you are, right?

[Pause.] Do you? [He wasn't sure what answer he was hoping for. 'Yes, I do and I'm fighting monsters', or 'No, I don't and I want to fight them.' He supposed it was too much to hope for that the answer would be similar to his.]

[Anemone couldn't help but feel a little relieved that Sorata didn't notice anything; she had practically tackled a few Noise before she found the pipe, and her side was almost tinted purple, along with a fairly bothersome gash across her back. She was hiding all of these in her bodysuit, armed with her pipe again, and ready to go back out there, after a little break.]

I don't know, but I don't want to risk it. Plus, these bastards don't stop.

[She looked up at him.] Can you fight?

[A few different responses came to mind at her question - serious answers, joking answers, evasive ones.] I can take care of myself. [Vague enough that it counted as a little of each.

Sorata moved a bit closer to her, now noticing the discoloration on her side. Not really thinking, he reached out and pushed her arm, to move it out of the way so he could get a better look, leaning over.] That girl said it was useless to try and fight them without a partner.

[A bit of a tired sigh. Sorata already knew exactly what was going to happen, what he was going to offer.]
